Dead head restorations keep me a little busy in the off season. Pair of Audads found on a large ranch in the trans-pecos region. This is probably the biggest Audad ram I have worked on. Pictures don’t due the large Audad any justice. Sucker had 32in horns, 12.5in bases, and the head weighs 10lbs 😲

First time doing a European mount with the lower jaw attached.

Not a common request, but I’m glad we went for it — the final result gives the skull a totally different look.

What do you think?

Only about 1% of deer carry this trait. When the flesh is still on, they are tough to notice but once you clean them up, it’s a wild sight to see! Will you start checking for this from now on? 👀✍🏼

This is the second season in a row that one has come through the shop. Last season,I had 2 of them at the same time!
