Today was a bittersweet day at Pinky’s Pet Resort as sweet Bam Bam began his journey to his forever home in New York. ❤️🐾

Watching a foster dog leave is never easy. We fall in love with them, celebrate their victories, learn their personalities, and become part of their story. But this is why fostering matters.

Because every kennel opened by an adoption means another life can be saved.

Every foster home, every rescue volunteer, every transport driver, and every adopter becomes part of a chain of kindness that gives dogs like Bam Bam a second chance at the life they deserve.

We always focus on the “perfect” dogs — the outgoing, confident, easy ones. But what about the shy and fearful dogs? The ones hiding in the corner, too scared to trust, too overwhelmed to show who they truly are. 💔

Those dogs deserve love too.
They deserve patience.
They deserve a chance to decompress and feel safe.

Not every dog walks into a shelter wagging their tail and begging for attention. Some come in carrying trauma, neglect, fear, and survival instincts. That does not make them unworthy of life.

Sometimes the most fearful dogs become the most loyal once someone finally shows them kindness. 🐾

Meet Mason and Duke. These two need a rescue, sanctuary, foster, or experienced home willing to see past their fear and give them the opportunity they deserve.

Sometimes the biggest moments in life come from the smallest acts of kindness.

One of our amazing customers serves in the Space Force and recently learned that Axel absolutely loves the Space Force and sees him as a hero. Axel has a special love for collecting patches, especially space patches, so he surprised him with several incredible Space Force items.

But there was one gift that completely caught me off guard.

Many of you know Axel still preferred bottles for comfort. This year we finally got him transitioned to a water bottle, but honestly it was mostly because he tolerated one specific cup. We have tried countless cups over the years with absolutely no success.

Then came this Space Force water bottle.

And just like that… every other cup got kicked to the curb.

Out of all the amazing gifts, patches, and Space Force treasures, this simple water bottle became the thing. The one he proudly carries. The one he chooses. The one that made a difference.

It reminded me that kindness doesn’t always look big. Sometimes the most random, unexpected act of love can change someone’s entire world.

To many, it may just be a water bottle.

To Axel, it became comfort, excitement, independence, and joy.

And to us… it became another reminder that there are truly incredible people in this world.

Thank you for loving our boy. Thank you for seeing him. Thank you for showing him kindness.

You never know when one small act might change a life.

💔 HE HAS WAITED YEARS… AND STILL NOT ONE APPLICATION. Not one.

Meet Monty. A dog who has spent most of his life being passed from shelter to foster… foster to foster… wondering when it would finally be his turn.

Since December 1, 2024, Monty has been with Pinky. He has become family. He is the kind of dog that steals your heart without even trying.

He loves everyone. He loves kids. He’s amazing with special needs children. He knows basic commands, loves fetch, adores playtime, and somehow still wakes up every day with that huge smile after everything he’s been through.

But at night when the fun is over, Monty still goes to sleep without a family of his own.

Over 1,500+ days of waiting. Over 1,500+ days of being overlooked.

How is that possible?

Please stop scrolling for a second and really look at him. Look at that smile. Look at those eyes. Imagine if this was your dog waiting all this time.

Monty doesn’t need perfect. He doesn’t need a mansion. He doesn’t need expensive things.

He just needs someone to say:

“You’re mine. You’re finally home.”
