I always share the good the bad the ugly of breeding snakes. These here are eggs from my F1 16 year old Selayar female. She had been eggbound for the last three + months. About 3 weeks ago she spit out a few slugs and today we got her out and she was on a pile of ugly eggs. So thrilled she got them all out. THE CRAZY PART?! One egg has a developed embryo and was moved into the incubator!!

2ND GEN LAB LINE KALAOTOA ARE HERE!!

Couldnt be happier with the entire process with this clutch. This was the first perfect clutch from this wild caught female. I kept all the eggs together, let them all pip and come out on their own. There’s something extremely rewarding about letting things naturally play out. Hoping in the future to do a Maternal incubation experience 🐍

Day 72 for these second gen LAB Line Kalaotoas 🐍

I’ve never kept a clutch pile together before. These are dimpling more than usual compared to other clutches at this stage. Wondering if them staying together will speed up incubation.

Her previous clutches have hatched on day 82, 84, 83 and one outlier clutch at 94. I’m thinking this clutch will pip within the next week.
