Unpopular opinion 👇🏽

The serious business model for breeding snakes and surrounding all your post and activity on social media geared towards the serious business approach is overplayed.

New buyers are wanting to see passion and good husbandry and nice enclosures. This new generation of retic keepers care about the relatability of your post and learning from you about your husbandry and keeping practices more than your business and breeding methods.

Know your audience. You can still be a great business and do your taxes and have great customer service but you’re doing yourself a disservice by only speaking and relating your post from a business mindset. To me that screams , “I’m in this for the money and I need your money so buy my snakes”

This here is our female Ptyas Carinata aka the Keeled Rat Snake. This particular girl is part of a tiny import shipment of this species from Thailand 🐍

This species is by far my favorite species I’ve ever worked with.

Our male and female here are breeding mature and we will be trying to pair them this fall

My good buddy has my male Selayar out on breeder loan and he sent me some updated pics today.

Nothing beats selayars imo. Not small but not massive. Beautiful rich vibrant colors. Amazing yellow heads. And who doesn’t love the bulldog snout on them?! 😍🐍

I make this post with a heavy heart. For the time being I am needing to step away from the business side of LAB Exotics. What does this mean?

I am making all of my reticulated python projects available. I can also supply enclosures with them for more money. My ultimate goal is for one buyer to buy the entire group of retics from me.

My animals are some of the nicest pure locality retics in the country. I have one of the last F1 selayars out there. I also have a great breeder wild caught Kalaotoa. Many amazing animals that are now up for grabs.

I am not out of the reptile game permanently or for good. I will still have many snakes in my possession. With life changes that have taken place and more to come, I need to step back from the business side of things.
