Meet Dakoda!
This was her very first lesson learning to walk nicely on leash. If you ask me, she nailed it! This was maybe 15 minutes into our first lesson. We spent some time teaching her what leash pressure means and how to respond to it, then we jumped right in to an engagement exercise. No formal shaping of the heel needed and look at her go!
I’m super proud of these two!

My goal is never to dampen a dogs spirit or remove their personalities. We like to make sure they understand the expectations while still maintaining who they are as a dog. We want the crazy, goofy, playful pups. I’m not building robots. I’m establishing communication.

Meet Rika!
Rika is a 2 year old GSD who just completed a week long service dog evaluation.
She came to live with me for 7 days so I could really get to know her on a deeper level and see what she is all about.
I am happy to say that she passed with flying colors!
She is environmentally sound, she’s confident, she’s happy to engage with her handler and eager to learn. She’s attentive and mild mannered. She has the perfect amount of energy and the ideal amount of drive for the work required.
She still needs to pass her OFAs, but so long as those results come out the way we hope, she will soon be on her way to becoming a service dog!
Lots of big things in this girls future. I am so excited to help her and her handler along this journey.

Beans is getting so big!
We got to meet up for a lesson last week and it was so great to see how far he’s come!
His family has done an incredible job at maintaining his training and making progress following his board and train.
We are so proud of them and so happy to see this little dude thriving.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Thank you for an amazing 2025. We wish you all a beautiful holiday and an easy, peaceful, abundant 2026. It’s a blessing to be here and get to work alongside you and your dogs for another year. We love ya! Be good to one another ✨

Beanito is making some amazing progress.
This guy went from cowering down and growling/barking at every human to being able to play, train and eagerly engage in a parking lot full of people, children, cars, etc.
Remember that socialization is not about meet and greets. It’s about learning how to be neutral and confident in every environment. It’s about exposure. Don’t make the mistake of asking every Joe and Sally to come give your puppy a treat. Even with a friendly puppy this can backfire. Focus on building engagement with you and neutrality around everything else.
Most of all, let them be a puppy! Don’t expect high levels of obedience or perfect focus. Let them observe, let them explore, just foster a healthy environment for them to do so and have fun!

Beanito arrived for his puppy board and train today!
I’m stoked to help shape this guy into the best dog he can be.
He is a singleton (didn’t have any littermates) from a surprise litter after my clients rescued a stray.
Having no littermates, plus a momma dog with some anxieties has caused him some troubles in adjusting.
He’s a nervous little guy that needs a little help with proper socialization and confidence building, so we are gonna do just that.
I can’t wait to see him come out of his shell 🖤
