Paws UP is a group that helps stray dogs from the streets of San Antonio, TX and also partners with rescue groups that pull from the euthanasia list to safely rehome dogs and transport up north.

This is Brew.

He had been roaming around the south side of San Antonio for over a year until last month when he was struck by a car. Over the last month, he had been dragging his front leg raw to the point of bone exposure. That was when a good Samaritan found him and took him in. Unfortunately, his feeling of safety wouldn't last long.

On the way to the vet the next day, Brew made a run for it out of the finders car and was gone again. We put up hundreds of flyers and finally we got the call. He was found but he wasn't coming with us easily. After days of attempting to catch him with some food, we decided to bring in the traps.

Once the trap was set, it took no longer than 10 minutes to get him. He was scared and in so much pain but yet so sweet with us. He will be going to the vet ASAP today to come up with a game plan but we are guessing it will be an amputation.

Phineas(AKA Finney) is a fun loving velcro dog. This 65 lb cuddle bug is nearly one year old and loves to play. He is a large dog with long legs... Possibly Great Dane mix. He loves to shake hands with his very large paw and gallop around the backyard like a mini pony. He enjoys playing fetch and will return toys to you to throw again. This housebroken sweetie is timid at first around strangers and new people but will warm up quickly with some pets and attention. he has no problem getting along with other dogs right away. Finney is a lady's man and does seem to have a preference toward women but will love anyone who gives him the chance. Loves walking / jogging on a leash and will definitely lead a pack walk with energy to spare. This big boy is eager to be trained and listens closely when you speak. A silly dog with a heart of gold this pup is ready for his furrever home.

We strive to pair highly adoptable but homeless Euthanasia Listed dogs from the SA Municipal Shelter with families, with priority given to Veterans. In the latter, we find a two fold solution with Veterans finding companionship and homeless dogs finding love in forever homes.

Ebony is looking for her FUREVER home!

She was found roaming the streets alongside another lab at only 6 months old. The owner for the other dog came forward but claimed Ebony didn't belong to him. Bee Pawsitive Husky Rescue stepped up and helped get her vetted and ready for her new family.

But no one has wanted her...she had been in foster care for almost 4 months but no one wants her. Do you want to give her a second chance?

We have been asked to help this boy find his forever home. His previous owner can no longer care for him. A little about him:
• 3 years old
• Neutered and up to date on shots
• 50lbs
• Lab/Pit mix
• Dog friendly
•Cats unsure (can temp test)
•Walks well on a leash
• House trained

Look what I found on my way home. Got these two off the streets right before the rain hit. Thank you to the workers at domino's for reaching out for help and big thank you to the lady that stopped that and was willing to take them. Only took about 30 minutes to get them to let me put a leash on and pick them up. Now they are loving running around their new backyard. Meet Molly and Esa (if owners aren't found).

Say hello to Bella.

Bella is currently in Marquette, MI and needs a foster or adopter. Unfortunately, her owners living situation changed and they are no longer able to keep her and are looking for an amazing new family for her.

Bella is 6 years old American Staffordshire. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Bella does need to be the only fur child in the house as she wants all the attention for herself. She knows basic commands, like sit stay lay down shake, she can dance, and is very strong on a leash but she's learning. Would do better with older respectful kids as she is shy with new people until she gets comfortable.

Can anyone foster Bella before she ends up at the shelter?
