Even the Grinch couldn’t resist the appeal of a dog’s love. Dogs have a way of softening the hardest hearts, and in a way, they teach us that even the most cynical among us can learn to love. As we grow older, we start to understand why the Grinch wanted to live alone with his dog — they’re simply the best companions anyone could ask for.

Dogs ask for nothing but your love and attention. They don’t care about material things, and they don’t judge you for your past. All they want is your presence. And when you look at a dog, you realize that simple companionship is the greatest gift you can offer.
