Shelter friends, we are excited to have gotten past the shelter closure and to be back sharing wonderful, adoptable dogs with you! ๐ฅณ Now that we are back at it full swing, we'd love to get some adoptions happening pronto. **Sharing** our bios helps immensely. Thank you! โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ
That said, we hope you don't mind us peppering your FB feed with adorable doggos as we ramp back upโsuch this handsome feller, Bubba! Hubba hubba, we love Bubba! ๐คฉ Talk about a love bug, Bubba is a super affectionate, exuberant dog who wants, oh, nothing much, only aaaaaallll the hugs, scritches, and kisses he can get; basically loads of contact with his human friends. Laptime? Oh yes, please. Be aware that he will jump up for attentionโand he's a strong boy. Thus, a home with older children only is recommended. ๐
Bubba did excellent on his behavior tests, unbothered by us messing with him and his food bowl, even though he wolfed up the special test meal with intense gusto. He's pretty good on leash, too, though untrained. He likes treats, which he takes with a gentle mouth. As you can see in the video, where he is learning a new trick, he is game to work for treats. He's also enthusiastically learning to play fetch. ๐ฅฐ๐
If you were to happen across Bubba, you would likely find him in his standard mode, living his best life no matter where he finds himself, sporting a huge, tongue-lolling grin on his big ol' face and begging for love from everybody. ๐ He seems to do well with other dogs, though to be extra safe we are still not allowing any dogs to interact closely. Starting next week, we will be as sure as we can be that the outbreak is in our rearview and we'll start having companion walks and play dates again. If we discover any issues with Bubba's canine relational skills, we'll update his bio. At this point, our assessment is that Bubba will make the right, fun-loving family a wonderful goofball of a pet. ๐ก๐
Bubba will need to be neutered before going home with you. He keeps his inner kennel tidy. Though we can't make guarantees, he may be easy to housetrain. ๐ค๐ฉ๐ค We do not have information about his attitude toward cats at this time. ๐
As always, a meet-and-greet is required if you have other dogs at home. ๐ค๐ถ๐ค
