Very important information for cat owners!

Lilies are DEADLY to cats. Even a little bit of pollen, which may fall from the flowers onto a table, be walked on by the cat, and subsequently licked off of the paw, can be fatal! Please do not purchase flower arrangements with lilies in them if they will be in a home with kitties. The flowers, leaves and stems are toxic as well.

"Green Lake has joined 14 other lakes in the state with elevated levels of toxic algae, according to the state Department of Ecology.

The Seattle Parks and Recreation is urging people and pets to not swim in the lake and avoid any other contact with lake water. Green Lake will be resampled next week."

**URGENT NEED** - Old Dog Haven PERMANENT FOSTER HOME: Tall long lab mix, 13 years old, 75 pounds.

Coming from a tragic situation, this big guy is really anxious in the shelter and needs a committed home ASAP. He is likely to guard food/toys for a while because of his recent experience so best as only pet (or very careful supervision). He is mobile but pretty wobbly still, underlying health seems OK for his age. Sweetheart! We're looking for a home in either W. Washington state or the Portland, Oregon area.
