About a month ago, my heart was wrecked when I heard the news that a friend from high school had unexpectedly passed away.
It’s shocking when a young person passes away, especially a person like Josh who lived his life so fully and vibrantly. My heart not only broke for his life ending this way, but also for his wife and two young daughters.
I hadn’t been in touch with a Josh for a long time, so I didn’t personally know his wife or girls. But for that whole next week after his passing, his family was constantly on my mind and heavy on my heart and so I prayed often for them.
You can imagine my surprise then, when the day after his funeral, our rabbitry page here received a message from a woman… that very wife I’d been praying for!
As it turns out, their girls had been asking for rabbits, but their dad had said that if they ever got any, he would want to support the business of his old friend. Three Rees. And so began the journey of fulfilling their request… and his. 💫
I can’t explain how special this connection was. Or how much it meant to me to be a part of this dream come true for the girls, something their dad wanted for them before he passed. We *just so happened* to have a litter open for reservations at the same time they reached out.
We will continue to cover their family in love and prayers, and now we get to shower them with the gift of cuddles with a new fuzzy friend.
We are so grateful for this honor… and for new friends.
