Shelby's Story

Hi, I’m Shelby!

I’m a 9½-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a little gray on my face and a whole lot of love in my heart. Don’t let my frosty features fool you — I still have plenty of energy and enjoy staying active!

I’m house-trained and super sweet with people. In fact, I want all the love and affection you’re willing to give. Snuggles, pets, and attention are my favorite things.

When it comes to other dogs, I can be a little selective. I don’t mind dogs coming and going, and I play with the friend I came in with, but I would definitely need to meet them first to make sure we’re a good match.

If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate companion with the perfect mix of maturity and playful spirit, I just might be your girl. Please contact the shelter and schedule a meet-and-greet.

Sam's Story

Hi, I’m Sam — a sweet adult Beagle with a gentle heart and a love for the simple things in life. I enjoy leisurely walks, cozy cuddles, and plenty of affection from my people. I’m truly a good old boy who just wants a comfortable spot to relax and someone to love.

I have a charming Beagle habit of “singing” while I’m out and about — it’s my way of sharing my excitement with the world! After a nice walk, I’m perfectly happy curling up beside you for some quality snuggle time. If you’re looking for a wonderful companion and expert cuddler, I'm your guy.

I love people and enjoy being doted on. I can be a little selective with other dogs, especially around food, so I’d do best with a family that can manage mealtimes separately. Shelter life can make potty habits tricky, but I keep my kennel clean and, with regular trips outside, I should be able to refresh my house-training skills quickly.

If you’re looking for a lovable beagle with a big heart (and a great singing voice), come meet me. I’d love to be your loyal walking buddy and snuggle partner.

Adopt or foster one of our seniors. The happiness they can bring to a home is immeasurable.

Ivan's Story Ivan here! Don't let my senior status fool you; I am a very loving gentleman with lots of energy and a seasoned pro at life! I love to run around in the dog park and play with my human and canine friends. The shelter staff and volunteers say I have impeccable manners and am very smart, knowing basic commands. I adore everyone, and if you give me a treat, we will be best friends. I am eager to make new canine friends, so if you have fur babies at home, please bring them to the shelter so we can make a loving connection. I would love to spend my golden years taking walks, snoozing on your comfy sofa, and basking in the sunlight from a nearby window. If you want a perfect gentleman who just wants to enjoy life, look no further. Come by the shelter to meet me. P.S. Bring treats! LOL, just kidding; the shelter has them on hand for our meeting.

Alvin's Story

Hi, everyone, I'm Alvin. I’m the best snuggle bug ever and absolutely love being close to my people. I’m still in my puppy phase, so I can be a little wild at times — but that just means I’m full of life and guaranteed to keep you laughing. I have a very friendly, easygoing temperament and love meeting new people.

I’ve been doing great with my kennel manners — I’ve never had an accident in my kennel, and I don’t chew up my blankets (pretty impressive, right?). I would do best with a secure yard since I can climb a fence. I am curious about the world around me.

If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, goofy companion who will bring nonstop love and fun into your home, I’m your guy! Please set up a meet-and-greet and see if we can make a love connection.

Big thank you to our mother-daughter volunteers, Michelle and Abby, for giving Tyson a well-deserved break from the shelter.

Tyson's Story Howdy folks, I’m Tyson—a sweet, goofy Boxer mix. I’m still a young man and eager to please, so I have lots of love and potential to share with my forever family. I do best with a slow introduction to new dogs and especially enjoy the company of females. Right now, I’m in a play group with a husky buddy and doing really well! Sometimes I get a little reactive if another dog isn’t a fan of mine, but overall, I’m open to making canine friends. When it comes to people, I absolutely adore everyone I meet. You’ll quickly see I’m a special boy who wants to be loved and to make you happy. Like many shelter pups, I’m still brushing up on my potty-training skills, but I’m improving every day. With a consistent routine in a home environment, I’ll catch on quickly. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, eager-to-please companion who will fill your life with joy, I am your guy. Please contact the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and let's see if we can make a love connection.
