Y’all, I don’t know where I got that MaggieJames was due in May. I think I said that instead of due to be bred in May and went with it. Anyway, she’s due July 9 and Poppy is due July 13 both bred with Whiskey and I just happen to have a picture of all three of them. I’m sorry for the confusion.

Are they basically the same picture over and over? Yes, but they’re so stinking cute. Every time we get on the golf cart to feed the farm animals, these three supervise from the porch. I love seeing Scout with her granddaughter, Pippa!

It’s Cinco De Mayo and I always love to look up what certain holidays are and Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza. While often mistaken for Mexican Independence Day (Sept. 16), this date symbolizes resistance against foreign intervention and, in the U.S., has evolved into a celebration of Mexican-American heritage. We have family who are Mexican and we think they’re some of the best people in the world. I’m a person who wants to learn more every day and I try to lear at least one fact a day. Try to learn new things and you’ll be able to better appreciate the differences that make us the same. If that makes sense. Also, my Mexican son-in-law didn’t know what it meant because he’s too American 😂 just a picture of Whiskey that looks super cute and has nothing to do with the holiday.

May the 4th be with you. It’s Star Wars Day and even though I’ve only watched the original in the theatre as a child, the majority of my family are big fans. Have a fun day watching your sci-fi! I don’t have any cute Star Wars things but I do have a beautiful picture of the aurora borealis over my Mom’s pond.

Do y’all remember the teeny tiny runt from MaggieJamesxWhiskey’s 01/05/2026 litter? We decided to keep him because we thought he was not going to make it. Well, our little Pettit (I named him that because small in French is petite) he fought and fought and while he’s still smaller than his sibling Pippa, he’s going to be just fine. Anyway, having Archie, Pettit and Pippa is becoming a lot more difficult than I expected it to be. I’ve decided to let Pettit go to a new home if anyone is interested. If not, he will stay with us. If you’ve been wanting a Dogeared Trading Golden Retriever but want an older one (who’s going through his awkward stage) and half off, let us know.
