Doggie Day Camp is this Saturday August 1st, and we'd love to have your pup join us! We'll spend the morning exploring the trails, sniffing everything in sight, making new friends, and coming home happy, tired, and ready for a nap.

Join us this Saturday, August 1st for Doggie Day Camp! This week’s adventure takes us to Ferguson Canyon, where your pup will enjoy a professionally guided, on-leash group hike filled with exercise, enrichment, and plenty of sniffing along the trail.

Hi! My name is Brittany, my pronouns are she/her, and I provide house sitting and dog walking services for .

I started in the veterinary field at 17 years old and worked my way through the ranks of a general practice while attending veterinary technician school. I have been in the veterinary field for over a decade, with a small break (that didn’t last long because I love veterinary medicine) working at a professional grooming salon. I have always been drawn to animals, and I’ve dedicated my life and career to their wellbeing through professional pet care. I currently work full time at a specialty veterinary hospital in Salt Lake City, giving me extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, senior pets, and pets with medical needs. One of the biggest mindset shifts I had to make in the pet industry was realizing that a “friendly dog” is not the same as a well socialized dog.

For years, we’ve celebrated dogs that want to greet every person and every dog they see. In reality, one of the greatest gifts you can give your dog is the ability to exist confidently without feeling the need to engage with everything around them.

That doesn’t mean your dog should never play or have dog friends. It means they should also be able to walk through the world calmly, confidently, and without becoming frustrated when they can’t interact.

This is one of those topics that surprises a lot of dog owners, but once you understand it, you’ll start seeing walks, training, and socialization through a completely different lens.
