As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.

It’s tick season! Did you know Utah does have ticks, and the population is growing every year? With ticks comes disease including Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. To help combat these risks our veterinarians recommend having any at risk pets on season tick prevention. At risk pets are mainly those going into the outdoors to enjoy our beautiful mountains! Tick prevention is recommended April through October, but if you’re traveling we recommend it year round! If you need any flea/tick prevention please give us a call and we can provide you with plenty of options!
