We love our community's service dogs! We are registered to provide eye exams to qualified service animals at no cost throughout the month of May!

Nori came in for her eye exam today, and we found out she has been made an Honorary Deputy! This sweet girl works with Intermountain Therapy Animals and sometimes attends court to help people feel safe and calm. What an angel!

Peanut is a spicy🔥 little patient who will NOT let his mom give him eyedrops! We rigged up this subpalpebral lavage system (SPL) so she can medicate without him noticing 👀... The drops go into the port on his back and get delivered to his eye. So far he's doing great!

Look at Smokey's heroic job of sending blood vessels to get rid of the foreign body! He had plant matter in his cornea that eventually fell out besides one little spec, which was uncomfortable. We got it out and Smokey is doing great!

Hair growing on the eyeball?!?😨Little Louie was born with a dermoid (not uncommon in frenchies). A dermoid is basically hair growing where its NOT supposed to. Louie's was growing out of his conjunctiva, but it can grow right out of the cornea in some cases! He recovered so nicely and is very happy to have less hair to comb.

Artemis is a 14 year old female Western Screech-Owl who came to our clinic for black spots in her right eye. Fortunately they are not harmful! She is cleared to continue her work as a Raptor Ambassador helping to educate people about raptors and conservation. Thanks for entrusting us with her care, HawkWatch International!
This bird was handled in accordance with US Fish and Wildlife Special Use Permits for educational purposes.
