Myth vs. Fact: Does a Wagging Tail Always Mean a Happy Dog?

🚫 Myth: If a dog’s tail is wagging, they’re always happy and friendly!
✅ Fact: Tail wagging can mean excitement, but it doesn’t always mean a dog is comfortable. The speed, position, and stiffness of the wag all matter! A high, stiff wag could signal tension, while a low, slow wag might mean nervousness. Always read the whole body, not just the tail!

A dog’s nose is their strongest sense, and sniffing isn’t just about smelling—it’s a natural way for them to process the world and decompress. Controlled, structured sniffing during a walk or in a designated area helps lower stress levels and engage their brain in a way physical exercise alone can’t.
