Wasatch Springs Animal Hospital

Wasatch Springs Animal Hospital We want to provide you, and your VIP {Very Important Pet} with a pleasant and affordable experience. NO BULL! We will be honest and straightforward. Best Cost!

After seeing Dr. Blotter, we want you to have a diagnosis and a reasonable treatment plan every time. Motto: Best Care! Best Value! Dr. Michael Blotter grew up outside of Utah. His parents are both from the Cache Valley area, but he was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. At a young age he found his love for animals, as he breed his two golden retrievers, Logan and Flaxen. Dr. Blotter received his undergr

aduate degree in Animal Science from BYU in 1986, where he met and married his sweetheart Shauna. They then went off to Vet School at the Ohio State University, where he graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) in 1990. After graduation, he did an internship in southern California working on animals of the “rich and famous”! His entry to private practice was in rural North Carolina, where he cared for large animals (primarily farm animals) for a year before moving his family to Utah in May of 1991. Dr. Blotter took over ownership of this hospital in 2000, and is the sole practitioner here. Now a father of five, he has passed on his love of animals to his children, as each of his boys have worked along side him at the hospital. His youngest daughter (9) loves to go to work with daddy, and can often be found at the front desk greeting the VIP’s {Very Important Pets}.

SL county just posted essential businesses on their stay safe stay home page. Veterinary care is approved. As a result we will stay open for business throughout the month of April for your pets’ wellness. We will continue to observe safe spacing. We invite you to continue to come to us for your pets healthcare.
As we mentioned previously, please do not come if you or someone in your home is ill. We can make alternate arrangements to help you without exposing others.

I have spent the weekend considering the impact of these next few weeks on our family, our business, our patients, and all our good friends. We wish to be responsible citizens and yet recognize a constant need for veterinary care. We respect those that have chosen social distancing. We have chosen to remain open for the time being during regular hours. We rarely have more than 4 people in our lobby at any time. We will do our very best to limit client overlapping at any time. Be assured that we will take extra precautions during this time:

1 Taking extra care with hand washing
2 Asking employees as well as clients to remain home if you are ill
3 Keeping surfaces, counters and rooms as clean and germ free as possible
4 Avoiding hand shakes and hugs
5 limited curbside services upon request

As a small business owner, I can see the impact of business closings on families and employees. There is a balance between responsible care and the dangers of economic ruin and societal isolation. For the next few weeks we will monitor the environment and adjust our hours as needed. Any changes to our scheduled hours we will post on our page. If there is anything you need please let us know. Our thoughts go out to all those affected by this virus.
We love you all!
