Excited to be apart of the sale this year!

Our next Co-Signer highlight for this years Route 66 Pig and Goat sale is our Host Dry River Show Pigs! Owned by Tye and Jael Housley, they’ve been heavily invested in the Navajo County fair kids each year and we’re excited to have them!

Dry River Show pigs was started as a dream in 2020 during COVID. Tye and Jael run a small 8 sow operation of predominantly dark cross and light crosses located in Glendale, Utah. With a love for livestock and the challenge of creating the best possible animal, we’re excited to be apart of this year’s sale!

We’re way behind this fall on getting pictures posted. It was an extremely tough farrowing season for us this fall, and these are the only 2 we will be offering this fall.
Both of them are out of a bred sow we purchased from Hayden Show Pigs.
They’re Buckle Up x Never Before.
Thin belted is cryptorchid and the wide belted one is cut.
Both of these barrows are some of the hairiest, big legged pigs we’ve had in our piglet barn! Shoot us a message for more info! We’re wanting to get them moved as quick as possible.

Turning silver into GOLD 🥇

Honey adds banner to the wall this summer at the Silver State Livestock show! Riley has done an awesome job getting her shown this summer!

I can’t help but sit back and appreciate what Fat Amy did for our program! 60+ grand or reserve banners between her last two litters! (Kyri, Colton, Huntly, and Riley). A streak we only open to continue here at DRSP!

Our next sow introduction for this fall is a new face on the farm we call “Bluey”

When we saw Dan Hayden post her for sale we knew we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add a sow of her caliber! Let alone add another blue one into the mix 😏.

Bluey is a Never Before sow bred by Worwood Showpigs up in Northern Utah. She comes to us out of a Worwood sow line that’s got a track record of consistent and success in the ring! With high placings in San Angelo, and multiple county fair wins in Utah, she’s bred and ready to make a splash.

Buckle up was the boar of choice for Dan on this one and we couldn’t be more excited to see how this combination turns out! Buckle up is one of the hottest boars in the country, coupled with one of the most consistent bottom ends to a pedigree you can get. As much as we’d like to keep every gilt in this litter, we’re only keeping one!

Due tomorrow this litter will be perfect for any March-early May fair depending on your feeding style! Message us today to get on our list!

The most anticipated litter we’ve ever had here at Dry River Show pigs! Normally we don’t like to post before we have babies are on the ground, but this one’s an exception.

KOOL WHIP X Blowin Smoke!

We were fortunate enough to make a deal to get Kool Whip back here to the farm and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to breed her with one of the hottest blue boars in the country! Couple that with our best pig we’ve ever raised in Kool Whip! These pigs are sure to turn some heads when they step in the ring!

Due August 8th, these pigs will with perfect for any and all spring fairs and likely into mid summer if fed out right!
