Spent the day at the Soldier Hollow Sheepdog Trials and it was incredible watching the teamwork between handler and dog out on the field. 🐑🐾

There’s something really special about seeing dogs do exactly what they were bred for. The focus, communication, instinct, and trust between dog and handler is like watching poetry with a little dust kicked into the air. Every whistle cue felt like its own language.

As a trainer, I love opportunities like this because they’re such a good reminder that dogs thrive when we honor their genetics, give them purpose, and build a strong connection with them. Also… watching sheep casually ignore everyone’s hard work was pretty entertaining too. 😂

Beautiful dogs, talented handlers, mountain views, and a whole lot of appreciation for working breeds today. 💛

National Rescue Dog Day feels a little extra special after spending today with some incredible shelter dogs 🐾

Every kennel held a different story. Some dogs were bouncing at the door like confetti cannons with paws, some were quiet observers still learning the world can be kind again. But every single one of them deserved patience, safety, and a chance to be someone’s best friend.

Today we worked on confidence, engagement, basic skills, and simply learning that humans can be predictable and safe. Progress in a shelter doesn’t always look flashy. Sometimes it’s choosing to make eye contact, taking a treat gently, or finally letting out a deep breath.

Rescue dogs are not “broken.” They’re adaptable, resilient, hilarious little survivors with enormous hearts.

If you’ve ever considered adopting, fostering, volunteering, donating, or even just sharing a shelter dog’s photo, do it. Tiny actions open giant doors. 🐶❤️

Happy National Pet Day! 🐾

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to all of my amazing clients who have trusted me to be part of their dog’s journey. The time, patience, and love you pour into your training truly makes all the difference—and it shows in every wag, every calm walk, and every proud moment.

Training isn’t just about commands, it’s about building a stronger bond with your dog, and I’m so grateful to walk alongside you in that process. Give your pups an extra hug from me today—they’ve earned it. ❤️🐶

Another success story from the Humane Society of Utah and I’m lucky I get to train with him…

Showcasing some puppies at the Real soccer game…

These puppies and more are available for adoption at the Humane Society of Utah.

Today at the Humane Society of Utah, we focused on reinforcing the little things that turn into big wins. 🐾

Calm eye contact.
Four paws on the floor.
Choosing the handler over the distraction.

Reinforcement training is not about “fixing” dogs. It’s about showing them what works and celebrating it when they get it right. Every treat, every “yes,” every tail wag builds confidence and clarity.

These shelter dogs are so eager to learn. All they need is consistency, kindness, and someone to notice when they make a good choice. 💛

Drop a ❤️ if you love seeing shelter pups learning new skills… and tell me, what behavior do you think is the most important for adoptable dogs to master?

Love Your Pet Day? Around here that’s every day. 🐶✨

From the muddy paw prints on the floor to the nose boops during Zoom calls… they make life louder, furrier, and infinitely sweeter.

Today, give them an extra walk.
An extra treat.
An extra “good dog.”
(And maybe forgive them for that one shredded toy… maybe.)

Drop a pic of your pet in the comments and tell me one thing they do that makes you laugh every single time ⬇️🐾

Let’s flood this feed with wagging tails and whiskers 💛

Today was a shelter kind of day 🐾

You know that beautiful, chaotic symphony of barking, wagging tails, hopeful eyes, and staff moving at lightning speed? That’s where I spent my day. And every single kennel held a story waiting for its next chapter.

I got to meet some incredible souls today. The shy ones who lean in quietly. The wiggly ones who think laps are optional furniture. The brave ones learning that hands can mean kindness and treats instead of uncertainty.

Shelters are full of second chances wrapped in fur. They are resilience with a heartbeat. And every dog there deserves patience, guidance, and a home that sees their potential, not just their past.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, adopting, or even just sharing a post, this is your sign. 🐶✨

Proud to support the teams who show up every day for these dogs. They are doing life changing work. And today, I got to be a small part of it. 💛

Psychiatric Service Dog training is not just obedience. It is trust built in tiny, intentional moments. It is repetition when it would be easier to quit. It is choosing calm in the middle of chaos.

This video captures more than skills. It shows confidence growing, communication sharpening, and a partnership that keeps getting stronger with every session.

So proud of the dedication, the patience, and the heart behind this work. This is what consistency looks like. This is what teamwork feels like. 💫
