Dear Customer,
Congratulations on acquiring your Gernam shepherd. Please find the instructions for your particular model listed below:
Although your Shepherd comes fully assembled, due to particular issues during production, we do occasionally have issues with components such as screws. They invariably are either loose or missing altogether.
Mode 1: This is the sleep mode, activated for the majority of the day as the Shepherd ages. This is normal and you should not worry about it, just accept the peace and quiet while you can.
Mode 2: Anarchy. Although we have tried to ease the effect of anarchy mode, it’s not always possible. There are inherent issues with the timer settings of anarchy mode in regards to there being none. Should your Shepherd suddenly go from comatose to running around the walls, we cannot stop this feature.
Sunlight: Do not allow your Shepherd to stay in the sun too long. They can burn if left unattended but they also recharge. Too much of a charge and mode 2 can be activated without warning.
Energy consumption: This has been an ongoing issue as their energy consumption is too direct. We have tried to put baffles, non return valves and diversions in place but none seem to work adequately. Safe to say what goes in comes out, in both solids and gas. The gas, although noxious, can only inhibit breathing of the owner for up to ten minutes 🤢
Naming: Your Shepherd comes untitled as we feel owners should use names of their own. If you are unsure, we have listed below a few names our owners like to use:
You’re kidding me
Is that yours?
Don’t you dare
Knob
Doofus
Put that down
Why?
Get that out of your mouth
Software: Your Shepherd is pre-installed with the highest software and hardware. This includes the loyalty chip, the love every one chip, fun chip and, of course, the highly popular mayhem chip. They are all running on the [email protected]@ operating system 12.2. Although this has been in circulation for many years, we have found it simply cannot be improved upon.
Should you have any queries you can reach us on 118-what-did-I-do
Thank you.
We hope you have many years of enjoyment with your Shepherd. Please be aware that by the time you have read this, your warranty will have run out.
Unfortunately, we do not renew warranties and we do not offer refunds or returns……. ever. It’s your problem now.

Never forget what happened to the Vick dogs. 😢😡🐾🐾🐾
April 30, 2016 is a day many will never forget. It was a day dedicated to the dogs who lived on 1915 Moonlight Road. After months of meticulous planning my dream of paying tribute to and memorializing the dogs of the Bad Newz Kennels came to be. This day would not have been possible without the support of all involved and the sponsors of the trees and the event. Thank you!
Many traveled a long way to participate in this event. A huge thank you to the investigators and officials on the Vick Case who felt it important enough to attend and meet the adopters and various rescue groups who participated in saving these precious dogs. The adopters and rescuers shared their story and at that moment we became one with the dogs all sharing one common goal – Jim Knorr, retired USDA Special Agent on the Vick case reminded us of that goal - NEVER FORGET the dogs of the Bad Newz Kennels. Bill Brinkman, through his daughter, thanked everyone involved with saving these dogs and asked us to keep doing what is right, and we will. Author of The Lost Dogs, Jim Gorant, spoke about rescuing animals and the importance of everyone coming together to help an animal in their time of need. Wolf of Justice Rescue spoke of efforts to conquer dog fighting and when Janet Hopkins from the Metropolitan Opera sang You Will Never Walk Alone there was not a dry eye in the house.
Together we planted dogwood trees with plaques in honor of each and every dog seized nine years ago, and a weeping cherry to honor those who never made it out. The back field is now full of life with beautiful flowering trees for all to enjoy. This was a day of sharing and caring but finally for some, there was closure and peace.
It was a day of peace, a day of closure and a day to remember the dogs of the Bad Newz Kennels. Dogs Deserve Better was honored to host this Tribute and Memorial for the dogs. We were honored to have the adopters, the rescuers, the investigators and dog lovers from all over the country attend. We will always cherish the memories, the tears and the smiles. It was a day to remember.
Stacey Williams – Board Treasurer and lead planner for the April 30, 2016 Tribute and Memorial to the dogs of 1915 Moonlight Rd.

Salty and Roselle were two guide dogs who were with their owners in the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks in New York City. They each guided their owners out of the burning towers before they collapsed, feats which were later recognized when they were awarded the Dickin Medal by the British charity the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals. Roselle went on to be posthumously named American Hero Dog of the Year 2011 by American Humane, and has a book written about her.

We remember Sarbi
Today we pause to remember Australia’s most decorated canine war hero, explosive detection dog Sarbi. On 27 March 2015. Sarbi, a Labrador/Newfoundland cross, went missing in action in Afghanistan for almost 14 months after a joint Australian, American and Afghan vehicle convoy was ambushed by insurgents in September 2008.
Nine Australian soldiers, including Sarbi’s handler CPL David Simpson, were wounded during this action. It was also the same action for which CPL Mark Donaldson received the Victoria Cross for Australia. A dog matching Sarbi’s description was found by an American soldier in north-eastern Uruzgan province and returned to the Australian Base in Tarin Kot, where handlers confirmed her identity by scanning her microchip.
For her brave efforts, Sarbi was awarded the War Dog Operational Medal, the Canine Service Medal and RSPCA Purple Cross Award. Today, we remember Sarbi and all working dogs who gave life and limb for the protection of Australians on operations.
Lest we forget.
