Still ZERO interest in these girls???? 😭 They are just the sweetest most loving girls once they get to trust you and it has taken almost a month for them to truly show that side. They are wonderful dogs. No aggression what so ever. Momma Charlie loves to sleep in the bed and baby girl Sadie sleeps under the bed. She only comes to the bed when it is thundering for snuggles and reassurance.

Finn Finn was released by the Vet today. We are doing antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds to get the swelling down in his eyes as well meds directly into the eye. Hopefully, we can get the swelling down. He is SO tall we had to order a ###l crate for him. He needs to gain some weight but he is so pretty and shiny after his spa day.

Welcome Finn Finn (yes another Finn). He comes to us from one of our local Shelters. While we were there the owner surrendered him after he had been found as a repeat offender / stray. He is sooooo very sweet and a very tall boy. Finn is a 118 lb, (but needs to gain more weight), neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, Great Dane. He has severe swelling all around his eyes and has been at the Vet over night. He has been placed on Antibiotics and Anti-inflammatorys and had the Dimmer stain test done. The Vet is thinking a severe untreated infection. But to be 100% sure we will have to wait on the swelling to go down. He was bathed and groomed while there. He is a sweet, loving and gentle giant. He knows basic commands and loves to give his paw. If you are interested in meeting him please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application. Welcome our huge puppy Buddie to the FHL Rescue. He actually is a full brother / liter mate to one of our personal dogs. Buddie is a 10 month old, 64 lb, neutered, Registered (not that it matters), fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, Apricot Standard Poodle. He was gotten as a puppy and returned to the person / breeder they got him from due to DSS getting involved with the family. He had never been groomed or taught anything. The initial Breeder to whom he came from and was returned to taught him to walk on a leash, groomed him and got him up to date on vaccines. He is wide open. He is full of energy, his mouth when he plays but does NOT bite. He is head shy but comes around. Now let me make this clear, he is NOT aggressive. He just does not know anything. Absolutely nothing. He does wonderful in a crate and has not pottied in it. Has has been wearing belly bands just in case while being in the house and only had one accident. He is going to be huge when he is done growing. He is already a very large boy as is his brother which he is currently living with at one of our fosters homes. The brother belongs to them. He needs a home that has the patience to teach him what he was not taught as a puppy like normal dogs are. He loves to play, loves toys, loves other dogs and has one speed "wide open". He will not go to a home with smaller children because he will unintentionally knock them down or over. Must have a fenced yard because he has no recall. He is a good boy. Please do not take the above as he is not. He is. He just knows absolutely nothing but again wide open. He rides good, plays good and has so much potential. However, where is is at now has many extremely small dogs and he just doesn't have the ability to not bowl through them because he is so excitable.

Our sweetest Seniors ever Molly and Jake went to their forever home in Indiana yesterday. They are the most precious kiddos and we hate it tool so long for someone to take a chance on these babies. But we sure have had fun spending this time with them.

Welcome Oscar to the FHL Family. He comes to us from one of our local Shelters. He was part of a animal cruelty case and the owners never reclaimed him. He is a sweet and loving, approximately 4 year old, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm positive Dachshund. He is on the slow kill protocol of Proheart and a 30 day Doxycycllin regimen. If given consistently he should test negative in 6 months. He will not have to have any of his routines limited as they do with the fast kill method.
