Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, Salisbury NC Open By Appt Only. Open by Appt. Only. Our 10.75-acre site is on Grace Church Road, off US 29 in south Salisbury.

Our mission is to rescue, spay and neuter homeless animals and provide them with the best medical care in a nurturing environment, while working to find them forever homes or providing them lifelong sanctuary. Our dogs enjoy socialization and interaction in our outside fenced in dog area, just outside our kennel runs, as well as walking paths throughout the property, while our cats have access to

an outside screened sun porch. We have been truly blessed by the enthusiastic support of all of our donors and volunteers, which has allowed us to follow our hearts and foster, protect, adopt, and care for abused and abandoned animals in our community. The overwhelming support we have received has been astonishing, and Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary could not be possible without all of you.

Hi, I'm Clark! I'm a large-and-in-charge brown tabby guy who started my life outside with my mom, Louisiana, and brother Lewis. Both of them have found their forever homes, and now it's my time to find mine!

I’ve come such a long way from my days as a scared outdoor kitty. I’m still an independent guy who prefers a “look, don’t touch” lifestyle, but little by little I’m learning that people can be pretty great too. I may take some time to fully warm up, but once I feel safe, you’ll get to see my playful and curious side and maybe even a couple pets now and then.

I love chasing feathers, lounging in chairs (or laundry baskets!), and cuddling with my feline friends. One of my favorite spots is the catio, where I can sit and watch the birds go by. I am gentle-natured, but still get playful when the moment strikes.

I’d do best in a quiet home with other cats to keep me company, preferably with a catio, so I can still feel the breeze through my fur. I may be shy, but I’m a special boy with so much love to give in my own way—could you be the patient, understanding family I’ve been waiting for?

Clark is neutered, microchipped, combo-tested negative, and up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $125

Reintroducing Ms. Molly: Your Pint-Sized Adventure Buddy!

Hi there! I’m Ms. Molly, a 30-pound bundle of energy, joy, and belly rub enthusiasm! I’m a Dachshund–Pit Bull mix, which means I’ve got the heart of a pittie and the short, sturdy legs of a doxie, the perfect combo for fun-sized adventures. And since October is National Pit Bull Awareness Month, it’s the perfect time to show the world how sweet and loving pittie mixes like me can be!

Don’t let my size fool you, my little legs are always on the move! I love chasing tennis balls, playing tug-of-war, and splashing around in the puppy pool like the true water-loving pup I am. I’m also super smart and love a challenge, especially if it involves puzzle toys or yummy treats (hint: I’m very food-motivated!).

I’d thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and play, and maybe even a hiking trail or two. A fenced backyard would be amazing, so I can show off my tennis ball moves. We’d make the perfect outdoor duo!

I love going on walks and never met a stranger I didn’t like. I can jump pretty high, so I’d do best in a home without small children...and sometimes I get so excited I ti**le a little (whoops!), but I promise I’m working on it.

When it comes to other pets, I prefer to be the center of attention. I’m not reactive or aggressive toward other dogs, I just don’t really enjoy interacting with them, so I’d do best as an only dog. I also don’t have experience living with cats and have a medium-high energy level, so a cat-free home would be best.

When the adventures wind down, nothing makes me happier than flopping over for a good, long belly rub (seriously — I’m obsessed).

ADOPTED! Our sweet Gia has found her forever home...and it’s by the beach! 🏖️

Gia was a bonus goldendoodle that pranced into the sanctuary with a wobbly walk and a goofy spirit. Like the previous three doodles we accepted, Gia came to us matted and in need of a serious groom. We took her for a shave down, vaccinations, and spay within the first three days of arrival to get her in tip top shape before posting her available for adoption. Because of her wobbly walk and lack of muscle tone, we sought a special home that could support her unique needs.

We received a fantastic application from someone with experience caring for poodles with special needs and, during the meet and greet, it was love at first sight!

Gia will now spend her days soaking up the sun, napping in cozy beds, and enjoying the ocean breeze. We couldn’t be happier for this gentle girl and her new life filled with warmth, love, and seaside adventures. 💕

ADOPTED! Sweet Sir Duke has found his forever home, complete with a new dog brother, and is already fitting right in!

Sir Duke came to the sanctuary after a community member could no longer care for him. On his first day, he curled up in the corner of his kennel, trying to make himself as small as possible. He was shut down and hesitant to approach anyone. But as the days went by and he discovered that life could be filled with sunshine, soft blankets, and squeaky toys, his true personality began to shine.

He started playing with his stuffies and doing joyful zoomies in the play yard. He became a completely different dog from the one who first arrived. When his new family came to meet him, we weren’t sure how he’d react to their larger dog, since Sir Duke hadn’t been around other dogs before. But he proved us wrong and took to his new brother like butter on bread. 🐾

Now Sir Duke will spend his days running alongside his playmate, surrounded by love, comfort, and plenty of stuffies to call his own. 💛
