Our pups are even SMARTER than we imagined!

A study in the journal Science found that dogs actually understand more of what we say than we ever realized. Researchers trained pups to stay still in an fMRI machine (impressive on its own, right?!) and scanned their brains while different words were spoken.

The results? Dogs process the MEANING of words and tone of voice—just like humans do. No wonder they know when we say “walk” or “treat”!

Who else talks to their dogs like they’re people?
