Puppy Beginner Basics & Manners 101 start January 7th!
✨ Manners 101 (for dogs 8mo–2yrs)
Young adulthood is a special time in your dogs development. It is a time that brings a lot of energy, creativity and curiosity from your dog, and often can feel like they have forgotten a lot of their previous training history! This is an intermediate level class in which we review a reinforcement training history and quickly move on to adding challenges with more distractions and difficulty, work on bringing in more life rewards and weaning out cookies, learning to decipher between cues and putting behaviors in longer duration. We add games and enrichment strategies to make learning fun for your dog while working on appropriate social real life scenarios and consistency in response.
✨ Puppy Beginner Basics
A beginner class for young puppies, providing exposer to other dogs and people, in a controlled and safe environment. This class covers all the foundation behaviors and exercises needed to start and build on your training relationship. We follow a positive, scientific approach based on reinforcement and long term trust building. With this approach to training, dogs learn quickly, efficiently and most importantly it is fun for both handler and dog! This class will cover several different attention exercises with distractions, sit/down/stand sequences, puppy push-ups, moving with attention, loose leash walking, recalls, target touch, and the beginnings of stay, wait and leave it.
