Friends of the Howard Street Cemetery, Salem, MA

Friends of the Howard Street Cemetery, Salem, MA We are a group interested in keeping the Howard Street Cemetery clean, safe, and accessible. We propose to do that in the following ways:

1.

Given the historic significance of the cemetery and the positive addition it brings to our neighborhood, we recognize the opportunity for property owners and renters in area, who enjoy this public land most, to also lend a hand in helping the city manage it. Help keep the cemetery clean through periodic and twice yearly clean-ups (fall and spring).
2. Notify the city of safety and landscape issues

as they arise.
3. Report any suspicious activity to the proper authorities.
4. Encourage pet owners to pick up after pets, if they’re not already doing so.
