Meet 1 year old Kenzo, he is handsome and unique with the fun-loving personality to match. He’s got a retro vibe and a club scene energy. He won’t be awake early enough to hit the farmers markets Saturday because he rages on Friday nights. The fun doesn’t stop come Sunday. He’ll just stop by a Java Crew, order a Zinger with a double of Redbull and fly into his next adventure. He is all fun, but you are always his number one priority. He just wants everybody to have a good time. Yea, Java Crew is the crew that he’s reppin’. All caffeine, no decaf in his leash steppin’.

Meet Jojo,
Jojo pairs well with an Oregon Haze, he has the earthy confidence of creamy black tea, the warmth of hazelnut, and sweetness of honey, with the fur fluffs like the head of a latte. While he loves a job and to stay active, he is a walking HR violation. He will report to work but is known to leave early, unexpected, and without informing management. Jojo has walked out on his previous households a few too many times and has been placed on temporary assignment at Marion County Dog Services. While on shift he is affectionate and cuddly with volunteers and staff. He enjoys participating in team meetings with other dogs and attending networking events with the public. At only 4 years old he does well with the younger human clientele and is known for his gentle and soft customer service. Even his bare minimum on the job gives employee of the month vibes. He thrives with active leadership that can provide him with physical and mental job satisfaction.

Happy National Dog Day!

We’re sharing Louie (again) because somehow, this sweet senior still hasn’t been adopted! (We’re just as surprised as you!)

Upcoming adoption walk-through days are Friday 8/29 12-6pm and Saturday 8/30 from 11am-3pm.

Does the dating scene have you down? Are you looking for that special someone that looks at you like they see the entire universe in your eyes? Do Friday nights in feel a little too lonely? Then we have the solution for you! Adopt Louie! At 10 years old Louie is the perfect soul mate. He’s passed his rowdy youth and is ready to settle down. He’s looking for real commitment. He wants to go on slow morning walks or sit at a winery while you read a good book and enjoy the view. Louie is ready to meet your parents and your friends and while he will charm all of them, he will always be loyal to you. Delete the dating apps and look no further. Marion County Dog Services is the matchmaker you’ve needed, and Louie is the perfect guy you’ve been looking for!

Stormy is Java Crew's featured MCDS dog today! See more details below.

Meet Stormy,
Stormy is as playful as a Cookie Crumble Java Frostee, at 10 months old she doesn’t take life too seriously. Her personal theme song is Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. She may mature but she doesn’t plan on growing up, she has main character energy and agrees with Alanis Morisette when she says, “Isn’t it Ironic” that a wonderful dog like Stormy is without a home? Stormy is your girl’s girl, and one of the guys. She believes in the “treat yourself philosophy and says, “get that 20oz latte babe, you deserve it!”. Stormy is your customizable best friend; she loves to learn and will be your running partner at 5am or your copilot for a Java Crew Coffee run. She’s the color of expresso and the shot of energy to start your morning with a loving embrace to end your days.

MEET LOUIE 🥺💙, at 10 years old, Louie is like enjoying a London Fog Latte and sitting in the softness of a slow Sunday morning. He is Earl Gray maturity mixed with the sweetness of creamy smooth vanilla. He is a cable knit sweeter with soulful eyes and a subtle sense of humor. Louie loves long walks on an evergreen trail, coffee dates with friends, or lounging with his person and a good book on rainy evenings. Louie will be your warmth when it snows and the charming gentleman during holiday parties. He is as welcoming as your first sip of Creamy Chai in the morning and as comforting as a Breakfast Sammie on an empty stomach. Adopting Louie will have you saying, “I just want my Java Crew coffee and to spend time with my dog”.

Our staff is incredible, but they are only as successful as the resources they have available to them. Luckily, Marion County Dog Services grew by one dental machine recently via donation funds and our wonderful Certified Veterinary Technician has finally had the tools to provide dental care to two dogs within the two weeks of having the new equipment. This allows our adoptable dogs Flaco and Louie to recover and prepare for their forever homes!

At 10 years young, Louie is a Pittie mix who proves that age is just a number—especially when there’s food involved. Louie’s love language is snacks, and he’s fluent in “sit,” “stay,” and “will do literally anything if there’s a treat in your hand.”

Don’t let the “senior” title fool you—this guy is still active, trim, and fit, thanks to his commitment to regular exercise (a.k.a. brisk walks to the food bowl). When he’s not perfecting his food critique skills, Louie can be found soaking up attention, cuddling like the oversized lap dog he is, and charming everyone he meets.

Louie has been enjoying a foster home break from shelter life, where he’s shown he’s equal parts foodie, cuddle bug, and loyal friend. His foster family says he’s easygoing, affectionate, and happiest when he’s part of the action (especially if the action involves snacks).

This sweet, people-loving pup is microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. He’ll need to meet any potential doggie and human siblings to make sure it’s a paw-fect match.

If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, food-motivated best friend who will love you as much as he loves mealtime (that’s saying a lot!), Louie’s your guy.

Please don’t overlook Louie because of his age. He may be a senior, but he still deserves a loving home. Adopt Louie—because love (and snacks) taste better when shared. Learn more at mcdogs.net (click on Adopt a Dog)

Who doesn’t love chocolate?

Just like my name, I’m irresistible, comforting, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. At 4 years old and about 70 lbs of pittie-mix love, I’m the kind of “treat” that doesn’t melt—but I will melt your heart!

I know my basic commands (because every good recipe has structure!) and I like to take things slow with new people and situations. But once I’ve warmed up? Boy oh boy, lookout—my sweetness shines through, and you’ll see just what a loving companion I can be. Think of me as your favorite box of chocolates: maybe a little mysterious at first, but once you get a taste of my personality, you’ll keep coming back for more.

My Perfect Home:
- I’m happiest in a home that keeps me mentally and physically active (walks, training, playtime—yes please!).
- I need to meet any dogs or children in the home to make sure we’re a good mix.
- No kitties for me, please—cats and chocolate just don’t go together.

Health & Adoption Info:
- My health has been checked.
- My vaccinations and worming are up to date.
- I’ve been microchipped.
- I come already spayed/neutered.

Just like everyone has their favorite chocolate—dark, milk, or sweet with caramel—I know I’ll be someone’s favorite flavor of pup. Could that someone be you?

Come meet Chocolate today and discover just how sweet life can be! Learn more at mcdogs.net (click on Adopt a Dog).
