🎨 ANNOUNCING THE 90:/5 JUNE 2025 SEASON PATCH

This season’s patch pays tribute to one of the League’s most passionate and dedicated Captains — and to the soulful disc dog who’s been by her side for nearly every step of the journey.

🐾 QUINN of HARTFORD, CT

Featured on this patch is Quinn, the beautiful Australian Shepherd who’s played in 30 seasons of K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch and just turned 10 years old this past December. Her handler, Christina Trunzo, has been the driving force behind the Hartford, Connecticut Club since founding it for the Winter 2017 Season. Since then, Christina has rallied 15 to 20 local Teams almost every time they play — building community, spreading the joy of the game, and bringing countless people and pups into the sport.

💍 When she’s not throwing discs, Christina is the creative force behind Cosmic Dust Studio, where she handcrafts beautiful, small-batch jewelry as a silversmith — what she calls “Slow Crafted. Small Batch. Metalsmithing Jewelry.”

And when she’s not at the bench or on the field, she’s bikejoring across Connecticut trails with her pack of disc-loving Aussies.

🐶 THE WORLD’S BEST DOG MOM
If you ask anyone who knows Christina, they’ll tell you she’s the world’s best dog mom. Her devotion, patience, and joy for the game has touched every Team that’s played beside her.

Earlier this year, Christina said goodbye to her OG disc dog, Jack, who had recently made one last star appearance as a featured flyer on the Summer Down Under Leaderboard. We like to think Jack’s still catching big air somewhere above.

And now, a new chapter begins with Fender, her young Aussie-in-training — just 1.5 years old and already showing flashes of brilliance. Or as Christina affectionately calls him: “my little how-now-brown-cow, Fender Bender, Moo Moo, Mini Punk.”

State Line Disc Dogs is back hosting a June
2025 Toss and Fetch Season!

Toss and Fetch is a beginner friendly sport! All ages and skill levels- both human and dog- are welcome to come out and try it. This event is open to anyone- if you’re curious to learn more about the sport, this is the perfect opportunity. Please let me know if you plan on attending and I can send you further details! ☺️

Announcement: "Fetch-Free Format" To Begin with Spring Season starting April 19

Effective Immediately: Toss & Fetch League Bans Fetch

“Every throw is a reinforcement of the primal mind. We can no longer, in good conscience, promote such neurological chaos.”

Why the Change?

Based on extensive anecdotal evidence and a deep dive into Facebook neuroscience, the League has decided to prioritize your dog’s parasympathetic nervous system over fun, fitness, and joy.

“We’ve realized that throwing defenseless plastic circles and letting dogs chase them is just . . . way too intense,” said League founder Mark Vitullo. “Starting today, we’ll transition all events to a new non-fetch format.”

Introducing: The New Official Game Formats

🧘 Sit & Stare™
• Handlers hold the disc.
• Dogs sit calmly 50 yards away and practice deep eye contact.
• 1 point per minute of peaceful gazing. Bonus if your dog blinks in slow motion.

🌸 Sniff & Meditate™
• Dogs gently wander the field, sniffing clover and journaling about their emotions.
• No loud voices, no sudden movements.
• Discs are optional. If used, they must be lavender-scented and never leave the hand.

🎵 Fetch-Free Couch Yoga™
• A guided handler-dog yoga session set to ambient whale sounds.
• Poses include: Downward Dog, Frisbee Salute, and the advanced “Heel into the Void.”

Equipment Changes

• All discs must now be biodegradable and ethically sourced from free-range bamboo.
• Any disc that has ever been chewed on will be immediately disqualified for trauma induction.

If there’s no active League Club near you, contact us today to start your own certified Center for Canine Groundedness & Emotional Growth (aka a K9 Frisbee Club that meets weekly to not throw discs, make eye contact, and whisper affirmations like “You are more than the chase.”)
