Happy 5th Birthday to this special batch of puppies born 5 years ago. This was Solar’s and Shadow’s first litter of four. These boys came into the world weighing in at 20 ounces. Too big for momma so she had an emergency c section. Was a fun litter and with only four very easy. Happy Birthday to Thunder, Wilson, Jiro, and to Regis the only black one of the four boys🥰🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🐾🐾🐾🐾. Picture of Regis who grew as big as his daddy!

Our tribute to Shadow

Today is a very sad day as we say good-bye to our Shadow. It was just over 12 years ago I flew to San Jose, then drove down to Pruneville to pick up this sweet boy from Stofer's Labs. Even at a very young age he was a big boy and barely fit in the puppy carry on I had taken. For all of you who got to meet this boy know what a big love he was. Shadow loved everyone and was loved right back. He didn't like to get into trouble and was a gentleman with the girls. Being the stud muffin for Happy Labs Kennel he has left the world with shadows of himself. Shadow and Belle Starr grew up together and gave us our first couple litters. We lost Belle Starr at a young age of 4. He mourned her for a long time so a comfort to know they are reunited. We kept Storm Trooper out oft heir first litter and he bacame a therapy dog. He loved his dad and spent a lot of time just laying with him. All the labs we have had here at the kennel looked up to and respected him. He didn't meet any dog or human he didn't like. Shadow with his big eyes melted a lot of hearts. He will be missed everyday. Truly the best dog... .

Busy two days with this little one who’s new name
Is Fisher. It fits him really well. With a rainy day he got to hang out with us indoors. Benji is so good to him and tries to get him to play. Fisher is okay until Benji runs and that fast Benji is intimidating. He spent time with his grandpa Shadow, hung out with Benji, and shopped for bones in the dog toy box. He thought that was pretty cool. Such a sweet puppy and has been easy to take care of while waiting to join his new family.

With Nellie gone that leaves Chip here until his new family can pick him up. So he got to help me transplanting plants, yard work, hung out with Benji, and is helping me relax.

Little Nellie joined her new family today. She is going to be in training with Brita and family to be a therapy dog. We are excited to follow her journey. It was a fun reunion today for Brita’d sister and I worked together years ago. Today I got to see Alia after 30 years❤️. And she looked just the same😁

I am very excited to announce that Chocolate Chip has found his new loving family. I am really excited for he will be living with his aunt Kootenai out of Shadow and Solar. Thank you Dan and Stacia, I know he will be spoiled. I also want to thank everyone who helped get the word out on this handsome boy. He will be here with us a little longer so will post lots of pictures and share his new name.

This young pup is 10 weeks old, has had 2nd shot, and dewormed on schedule. He sleeps well at night and I take him out potty when I need to go and then back to bed. He is mellow and wants to please. He reminds me of his grandpa Shadow. He is looking for his forever home and at this point will make sure it is a loving one. Happy Lab
