It has come to our attention that Toby looks larger in his pictures than he actually is & may be the reason he hasn't found his forever home. So here's some pics of him with a basketball for size. He's the sweetest little thing at 12 lbs & so happy to meet everyone (humans & animals of all sizes), that it has blown our minds he hasn't been adopted! FLUFF Animal Rescue wants to get him adopted so fill out an application! He needs some kiddos &/or fursiblings of his own!

So we decided to introduce the puppies to water because they needed baths anyway for their big rescue event today. They didn't know what to think but eventually Tony trusted Rocco Romagna & settled in. We were hoping for some excited puppy splashing but maybe next time 🤷‍♀️. They have so much to learn about the world! They are still accepting adoption applications at FLUFF Animal Rescue for both!

Ok so we did a thing... 😁 no we're not keeping them! Just spending some time fostering puppies for FLUFF Animal Rescue this summer. So, if you know anyone looking, please share? Fluff has many available dogs to adopt now, but these 2 babies are getting vetted & will be available to take home July 11th. They're roughly 6 months old & we're pulled from a rural north FL shelter with a high kill rate.

They're already catching on to routine, love to play & doing great with potty training! I don't see them getting very big as they're only about 10 lbs at 6 mo. I think either would do well in homes with or without other pets. We've had them for 4 days and just learning their personalities.

Rocco Romagna fav is the black & white one. He's all puppy & curious about the world! I see agility training in his future but he also MELTS in your arms when you hold him.

The one with brown on him is more needing of human affection, very smart but cautious & sensitive. He reminds me of a beagle/jack russell.

this may be a difficult or triggering video to watch.

This is so real. I regularly see people putting their faces near dogs & I immediately redirect the animal or the human. It is human instinct to go near an animals face as it feels like your paying respect to a four legged sweetie. However, dogs do not do this when they meet and THEY'RE instinct is to treat this as danger. When you stand over an animal, you are showing dominance. Dogs may react if they feel threatened. Some may give warning by growling or body language, but MANY will not!

ALWAYS speak to the handler before approaching & stand sideways if you are going to greet ANY dog. This is a non-threatening position. Many dogs see a pat on the head as a threat because you are reaching OVER them which is a dominant stance. An underhand position is better. This is a good approach to let them say hello on THEIR TERMS if they choose.
