These sweet kittens are Sioux (looks like a squirrel) and Kendall (brown tabby) and they have also been up for adoption longer than they usually would be due to the recent hurricanes. They are both up for adoption at Pet Supermarket in Disston courtesy of Rita's House of Rescues ! They are both friendly and playful and are waiting patiently still for their forever homes!

Happy Veterans Day!

Waffles is a one year old FIP survivor who is up for adoption at the Rescue Pets of Florida adoption center at PetSmart (Gateway St Petersburg location)! He is so sweet and affectionate and is a stage 5 clinger according to his foster mom. He is vocal and loves to sleep on his humans’ faces. He also loves to play - he’s the whole package!

Lil Man is an approximately 4 month old kitten who was saved by Rita's House of Rescues when he was just days old and his eyes weren’t even open yet. He’s been up for adoption for a couple of months now and he is a cuddly sweet boy. He was found underneath a mobile home by himself, laying in the dirt. He’s come a long way since then, and has turned into the absolute sweetest and cuddliest little guy! He gets along with other cats and is playful. He loves attention and just wants to be near his human. He will do well in any type of home and he is ready to go at Pet Supermarket in Disston Plaza!

Momma Mickey is a 1.5 year old sweet girl up for adoption at the Rescue Pets of Florida adoption center at PetSmart (Gateway St Petersburg location)! Momma Mickey is sometimes also known as Paula. She was found on Picnic Island in bad shape with bite wounds and a bitten up nose from a mosquito allergy. She had a microchip but all attempts at contacting her owner failed. Her nose is healed and her fur is still growing back. She is a friendly and super playful girl who particularly likes toys with feathers, as you can see!

Due to damages from Hurricane Milton, Friends of Strays cat adoption center, the Cat Box, is currently closed for repairs and cat adoptions are happening at the original location on a smaller scale.
Queso Blanca is a 12 year old kitty up for adoption at Friends of Strays Animal Shelter ! She is a friendly and social girl who loves attention and affection. She also loves to play! She is looking for a second chance at a forever home where she can live out her golden years.

He is super friendly and calm and is patiently waiting for his forever home!

He is one years old and a super sweet snuggle bug who likes to lay at his humans’ feet and loves attention and butt rubs. Loaf has recently lost some weight and is looking to take his new healthy lifestyle to his new forever home!

Max, also known as Big Max, is a BIG 6 year old boy up for adoption at the Rescue Pets of Florida adoption center at PetSmart (Gateway St Petersburg location)! Max is a lover boy who likes to sit on windowsills, chill in bed or on the couch and he loves food. He’s a playful boy and super affectionate. Max is ok with both other cats and other dogs.

I’d like to highlight another local small business today that is near and dear to my heart - Kinection Arts kinectionarts! I’ve been doing partner acrobatics/acro yoga since 2014, and I took a break in 2021, starting back just a couple of months ago again. Kinection Arts has been key to getting me back in acro shape and has allowed me to do so many super fun things safely and confidently.

Kinection Arts makes acro yoga accessible to everyone, with classes for all levels, including beginners who have never tried it before.

Kinection Arts is offering the first class free and I highly recommend trying it out. It’s the most fun way to exercise! They also have handstand and mobility classes.

She doesn’t like dogs but is good with other cats. She loves food and caves in cat trees.
