Found Her as a coyote kill. 90% complete minus 1 leg. Started to go full skeleton route but was more inspired to honor her as a vertebrate reptile the way she laid. Was wrapped over a log, bent back hairpin style, with the center of the backbone twisted upside down. Left Her beautiful bones a bit gritty so it's elegant but has that messy deep texture. Added a little reptilian style to the paint scheme for a Dragon style appearance. Molded and set on a White Oak quarter slice with feet.

Shocked. Frozen in Time perched on two Post Oak slices.
- Artistic Note- My lines are NOT uneven. I like to follow the naturally random, non-symmetrical, crazy lines within the bone and let it "bleed" into whatever. Overspray, spatter, swirls, shadows, and runs have their own Beauty. Nature is perfect in its imperfections.

After a long conflict peace was finally reached. Wanted to show off how amazingly long his teeth really are. Big ole choppers, so we left the two front top and two front bottom teeth loose for easy insert and removal. Went back with that sort of tribal following the cranial sutures design. Simple. Hyde has been tanned, just needs to be a bit more broken and smoked. His buddy the C**n was just along for the freezer ride. With him we saved some of the random obligatory teeth for later use. Both going into the personal display, unless of course the $ is right...

Very proud to have the opportunity of working on these two. And grateful for permission to share them and the process along the way. An interesting and thick 9 point with a very unusual 14+ year old 11 point skullcap. Had to spend a bit rehydrating it before moving into maceration with the full skull. Was asked for a little more classical old school white. So not quite fully degreased with no artificial whitening. Mounted on Oak Slices ready for a tabletop display or hung on the wall.

Grandpa's Bullhorn Restoration

Family heirloom antique Hunting Dog Call. Scrubbed, sanded, and refinished. Original mouthpiece lost in time. Went with a french horn style replacement. Now I just need more horns!
