Very sad events following this weekend’s storms.

A follow up to this post was that her Cardi has been located deceased.

In May 2021 we hosted our first NASDA workshops and trials. I had a local woman enter who entered the trial without ever seeing the game or truly knowing how it was played.

Patti Sontag showed up with her beautiful Groenendael. She had so much fun, and her smile personified joy!

Patti became my biggest supporter and even appeared in the local paper with Rain her Samoyed.

This afternoon while we were out playing with our dogs I learned that Patti lost her life in the tornado this morning.

I am beyond devastated and truly can't believe that she will never approach my start line again.

Here is an update from the folks that are keeping her dogs safe.

"To those who are wondering about Patti’s dogs. They are with us. We have found 5 of the 7. We promised her long ago we would care for her dogs if anything ever happened. Two are still missing and we are headed back to stl with the other 5 to get one Into emergency surgery. We need all the prayers and support possible please. If anyone wants to support financially for the surgery and hospital stay for her Samoyed storm and the needs of the others you can use our Venmo or comment and we can use another method. Patti was a wonderful women who will be so missed. We pray we can continue to love and support her dogs as she did."

Patti will be missed. All the good thoughts are with her loved ones at this time and as they continue this difficult journey without their loved one.

ATTENTION JUNIOR HANDLERS! (especially their parent/guardians)

We are so excited to announce our junior program with you.

Any trial that MCAC hosts will allow juniors to enter at 50% discount run fees. This will apply to BHA and NASDA trials! We will offer our regular placement and Q ribbons but we also are handing out special junior Q ribbon ribbons to show these kiddos how proud we are for taking the leap into dog sports.

So if you want to get your kid dog sports obsessed, now is your chance!

We just wanted to wish everyone happy and safe holidays and a happy new year!

We are thankful for our club members and those who choose to be just as crazy as us and head to trials no matter the weather with the best dog in the world.

That’s a wrap! Missouri did what Missouri does best and threw all but frozen precipitation at us.

We had some great courses from Judge Liz Hawkins and a tremendous group of volunteers helping us keep things running smoothly while we were rained on or were freezing our buns off.

Happiest of Holidays! I do not run registration sales often, generally only once a year. I did run one for our 10th anniversary this year, but do not expect another until sometime around the end of the year next year!
