Feeding is more fun this way. Interaction between you amd your dog. They understand rewards come from you. We just use the bowl as a tool through interaction. Utilizing food to close the gap when things are hard for your dog.

We teach our dogs to go on command and we create daily habits for them so they know what to do every time they go outside.

When you take your dog outside, do they run away from you or do they stay focused on you?
Simple enough- if you teach them that every time youโ€™re going outside you both are going to have some fun, they will stick around & focus on you!

I will show you a video on how we ask them to go potty first before we have fun!

Always start off with your dog on leash first and make sure your dog just loves interacting with you or has good food or toy motivation!

Waiting at the door using rewards. It may take some dogs longer to learn it but if you have a clear headed dog like this raptor, it only takes a few times before they understand it. This is the 3rd attempt only and she already understands that she must sit and wait before she goes out the door. We will do another video by the front door. When we change the location we have to make sure the dog understands he must do the same regardless of the location.

1. the dog offered he behavior without me asking her to sit.
2. I say "Good" to aknowledge she's doing a good job (you can reinforce by feeding some treats while the dog is sitting)
3. Open the door, if the dog stays, I say "okay" to release her and she gets fed some treats. If the dog breaks command when the door opens, we start over.

repeat as needed until the dog anticipates then we can add more duration and distance. ๐Ÿ‘Š
