Storms can be a very stressful event for pets and owners. Thankfully there are some things we can do to help make our pets feel more safe. You can try keeping them busy during storms with puzzle bowls, treat filled toys, or teaching them a new trick. There are also prescription medications that can help your pet during these times as well. The key with medications for storms is that the medication needs to be given at least 2 hours PRIOR to the the storm occurrence.

Heartworm infection is a serious disease for our pets. For dogs treatment is long uncomfortable. For our feline friends heartworm disease is terminal, there is no treatment. Set reminders in your cell phone or write it down on you physical calendar for each month, our pets need their monthly heartworm preventative!
