Winston wanted to thank everyone who donated to our Giving Tree at Tractor Supply this year, especially the compressed straw bales! They are keeping him and Clementine (not pictured because she has to be nosy little piggy at the gate any time she sees a person 😂) nice and toasty during in the cold, snowy weather!

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Donna. Donna was the most incredible animal advocate and horsewoman, always willing to help in rescue no matter the animal. She was our snake wrangler on the farm, relocating them as well as educating about the purpose of all animals. She was a great animal control officer and is the one who saved Beauty and Belle from neglect. Donna was everyone’s friend and we will all cherish all of our memories with her. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. She will truly be missed.

We are now working on the logistics for her long 1073 trailer ride home from Arkansas. You can still help us help her ...

This pregnant mare is in need of our care. All helped us get her safely out of a bad situation, now lets work on the cost of her safe trip.

We are asking for urgent donations to help us help her. Please consider any amount to help! She and three of her little mini friends will travel up via a very trustworthy equine transportation company. we need $600 each .56 cents per mile each (Thats $2.24 cents a mile for the entire load). Won't you consider a donation of $22.40 to bring them 10 miles closer to home?

We are grateful to partner with Tractor Supply Company in Huntingtown for the second annual Giving Tree! Please consider visiting TSC and purchasing an item to donate or make a purchase online to be picked up in store by SOFE volunteers.

We know you have choices of where to give this season. With a small organization like ours, any donation makes a BIG impact on our local community rescue which is 100% operated by amazing volunteers. Together we can make a difference for equines in Calvert County!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out today! It was such a fun day, it was great meeting all of you; a LOT of beautiful pictures were taken and we can’t wait for you to see them 😁 We hope all of you had as much fun with Santa and his helpers as we did.
