Introducing Moose! 🐾

This 2 year old Shepherd mix male is large in size and loaded with personality. 😉 The photos say it all— this happy boy lives large and loves life! ☀️🐕

Moose was fortunate to be selected for the Puppies for Parole program and has been working hard on his canine good citizen skills. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and learning basic obedience, setting him up for the best possible success in a future home. 🏡

Moose is known for entertaining antics and a charming smile. When he’s not practicing and polishing his training skills and manners, he enjoys playing with canine friends and splashing around in the pool. ☀️💦 Moose is friendly, social, and enjoys activity. He’d love to be your faithful sidekick and personal canine comedian. 😉👌

❤️🐾 St. Joseph, you really outdid yourself. The response to our New Shelter Grand Opening event was above and BEYOND anything we could’ve imagined. We are thrilled, amazed, humbled, and so VERY grateful!

The photos tell the story— a story of love, support, and celebration! Yesterday staff and volunteers worked in tandem to welcome the community into our FANTASTIC new space. Nestle Purina showed up with merch, treats, giveaways, and smiles! Community members and businesses sponsored adoptions. We had food trucks and FUN! 😃 Puppies got playtime and cuddles. We received much needed supplies, and Purina donated TWO PALLETS full of dog and cat treats. 🤩

More than 35 pets found homes, including our longest term canine resident Coco! 🙌

This event was TRULY one for the books! Words can’t express our gratitude. Thank you SO MUCH for your interest in our cause and for showing up for shelter pets. The future is bright at St. Joseph Animal Services! ☀️

Our New Shelter grand opening celebration is from 1-3pm TODAY! And it’s shaping up to be a grand time indeed. 😉 We have:

⭐️ A donation drive for most needed supplies
⭐️ $20 adoptions for available cats & dogs
⭐️ Activities for kids
⭐️ Guided facility tours
⭐️ Food trucks
⭐️ Puppy playgroup!
⭐️ And our friends at Purina will have Pints for Pets merch AND giveaways!

The Scoop Skool Bus LLC & Hazels Coffee Company will be serving up sweets and drinks to help you cool off and stay hydrated on this sunny ☀️ summer day. Donate an item from our wishlist and we’ll enter you into a drawing for a sweet raffle prize! 🤩 We also have many wonderful, adoptable dogs and cats looking for forever homes. 🏡 Five lucky pups will be fully sponsored and FREE thanks to our kind and generous friends at Cherry Mash! ❤️

What an INCREDIBLE first day at our new home 🥰🎉 6 cats 🐱 and 2 dogs 🐶 have left the building with their adoptive families on day one, but we have lots more with bags packed and tails wagging!
