📣 Do you love cats?
⭐️We are looking for volunteers!

We are looking for some caring individuals who could help us especially with morning care….coming to the shelter one, two or three mornings a week (depending on your availability) to help with feeding the cats breakfast, cleaning up after their nighttime shenanigans, brushing and spending time with them.

The morning crew works as a team, so you would have support and fun.

No experience necessary, just a love of cats and a willingness to help.

🍁 Maple 🍁

2yr old Maple has had a lot of interest at the shelter, but hasn’t quite found her perfect match, so we wanted to share her again in hopes of finding the best match for her.

Maple was brought in as a young pregnant stray, having lived in an open garage last winter until a Good Samaritan brought her to the shelter.

When she first arrived she was scared, hiding and not coming out for anyone.

She had her kittens at the shelter, they got wonderful care and where all adopted.

After the kittens left, the volunteers got to spend a lot of time with her, showering her with love and attention….patiently, on her own terms, until she opened up and began to blossom and trust and become the sweet gentle cat she was meant to be!

✨Maple is now a gentle, easy going cat who loves pets and attention.
Her fur is soft and luxurious.

She enjoys lounging in the sun ☀️ on her cat tower, watching people coming and going at the shelter.

✨Maple will do best where people won't push her to warm up, where she can observe from a high safe place until she is ready to trust and connect.

✨She needs people who will spend time with her, but not hover or push her to connect.
A patient person that will build a safe loving bond in a gentle way.

Once the bond is formed, she will be a wonderful loving lap cat and will be your one and only!

She is a favorite of the volunteers who have come to known her. 💖

🎄A Special Christmas Update 🎄

Remember Addie?
The young kitten that arrived at the shelter with a bite on her face affecting her nose and eye? She got medical care and lots of love at the shelter and was recently adopted…

Well, here she is looking beautiful under her Christmas Tree today!
And we received this lovely review and update from her forever family.

We couldn’t have asked for a better present! 🎁 Thank you Jim and Polly, kisses to sweet Addie!

UPDATE:
Jim and I have been friends of the Kingdom Animal Shelter (KAS) since 2009.
First, became foster parents and then “failed” foster parents, as somehow those cute foster cats and kittens came home with us to stay.
Recently, we have had the pleasure of adopting “Addie,” a very special kitten from KATS, and the process couldn’t have been smoother.
The shelter is clean, and the cats live in rooms, not cages.
The staff are kind and helpful and always put the needs of the cats first. Helen Morrison was cordial, caring, and professional from start to finish.
We highly recommend KAS if you are considering adopting a cat or kitten.
All round it was a wonderful experience!
