🚨 BREAKING: Michigan officially discovered that roundabouts are not traffic circles…

They’re trust exercises. 🚗❄️💀

On paper, it’s simple:

Slow down.

Yield.

Enter.

Take your exit.

Easy.

Michigan drivers looked at that and said:

“Okay… but what’s the guy in the lifted F-150 about to do?” 😭

The first car enters confidently.

The second car slams the brakes for no reason.

The third car signals left, goes right, then changes their mind halfway through.

And somehow somebody from out of state is already doing three complete laps trying to find the correct exit.

Traffic flow has become a science experiment.

Meanwhile the pickup truck crowd arrives.

They’re towing a fishing boat for Lake Michigan.

A snowmobile trailer.

A camper headed Up North.

Or enough hunting gear to disappear into the Upper Peninsula until deer season ends.

The trailer swings a little wide.

Everybody notices.

Nobody makes eye contact. 💀

Then there’s the Michigan retiree driving 14 mph through the entire roundabout like it’s a scenic tour of the Great Lakes State.

The line behind them stretches halfway to Traverse City. 😭

Turn signals become optional.

Some people use them.

Some don’t.

And at least one driver has had their blinker on continuously since leaving Grand Rapids in 2024.

Multi-lane roundabouts are where Michigan really shines.

One lane says left.

One lane says right.

Most drivers understand.

A few decide that lane markings are merely suggestions.

Because in Michigan, missing your exit isn’t an option.

Crossing two lanes at the last second is apparently the preferred strategy. 💀

Now add:

❄️ Lake-effect snow

🌧️ Freezing rain

🌬️ 30 mph wind

🦌 A deer standing nearby judging everyone’s decisions

And suddenly the roundabout feels less like traffic engineering and more like a survival challenge.

The engineers said:

“This will improve traffic flow.”

Michigan said:

“We’re going to make this interesting.”

It’s not just a roundabout.

It’s a circle of confidence, confusion, pickup trucks, boat trailers, winter weather, and split-second decisions.

And somehow...

everybody eventually ends up at Meijer anyway. 🚗😂❄️
