With the dangerously low wind chills and cold temperatures of winter, please bring your pets inside. They give us their best for their short lives, so the least we can do is give them a warm safe place to sleep.

We often hear “they aren’t trained or housebroken” or “they are used to the cold” and it breaks our hearts every single time. No animal should be left outside to get frostbite or freeze to death because their owner didn’t train them. No pet is used to -30* without proper shelter and good consistent care. Sadly, we have seen how horrific the situation can get when a pet is left in extreme temperatures. 😓

We encourage everyone to at least bring them inside to your spare bedroom, a bathroom, or a crate.
Nobody’s house is too nice to bring an animal inside and save a life.

Treating pets like family makes your house a home. Better yet, snuggle up with them so you both stay warm this winter ❤️ It’s a Win - Win!

‼️UPDATE‼️
We are beyond thankful for the kindness and generosity of our wonderful community! We are so lucky to have such wonderful people donating and offering to help. We can't do what we do without all of you!

SPECIAL THANKS TO:
Bobbi M. Hampton for transport to PAW Health Network in Kroenwetter and all the support you provided.
Kurt Schels for helping get the dog into the car and all the other ways you've offered to help.

Unfortunately, our worst fears were confirmed at the emergency vet. Tuxedo was even sicker than we thought and an ultrasound showed a ruptured tumor in his bladder. The vet helped Tuxedo pass away peacefully with his loving owner by his side. 🌈

We DO still need help with attaining and installing a natural gas water heater and a few other things. I will be reaching out to some of the people who offered to help.

As always, donations are still greatly needed and all contributions are tax-deductible 💕

DID YOU KNOW?

We spend:
$500+ per puppy or kitten? For just completely healthy pets that need minimal routine vet care and are old enough to be homed immediately.

This includes spay/neuter, deworming, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.

But our normal intakes don’t usually fit this criteria. So…then add in extra vet care, medical testing and treatments, emergent situations, formula, and special food, and supplements for young babies.

We depend SOLELY on donations to remain useful for the community and help animals in need. We only help local animals in WI and work with several other WI to help local animals.
