We have on good authority that today is National Dog Day!

We want to say THANK YOU to our canine family members for bringing joy, depth, silliness, unconditional love, and companionship to our lives. Let’s shower them with all the extra praise, snuggles, treats, walks—or whatever else makes their hearts happy—today (and, let’s be honest, every day).

And, as always, this is also an open request for pictures of your doggies, please! We want to see your little joy nuggets and hellions!

UPDATE: ADOPTION PENDING

Cedar is still looking for his forever home! All his siblings have found their match. This is no fault of his own! Cedar is a very sweet and smart boy. He is crate trained, working on house training, comes when called, and practicing manners.

He would do well in almost any home. He does well with well mannered dogs, well behaved children, and is getting used to kitties.

As with any pup his age, he will do best in a home that is patient and has the time to devote to ongoing basic training.

Cedar would love to be a hiking or camping buddy and would even help you exaggerate the size of the fish you caught! He will be happy to listen to you complain about your day and will never repeat the secrets you tell him.

Ready for a dose of cuteness??? These adorable babies are doing great and growing up fast! They will be ready for adoption in about 5 weeks. We think these pups are Lab/Mastiff mixes and will likely be on the bigger side.
NWAA could really use your help! Feeding and caring for all these babies is expensive. If you are able to donate, here is a list of items we can use:

When we made the announcement about taking in a litter of bottle babies there was a wonderful response from our community! Must Love Paws reached out to us immediately to see how they could help. Today we were blessed with their huge donation of formula, puppy pads, puppy toys , and goodies! AND a generous donation to our vet for the pups! We can’t thank them enough!!
We are so grateful for all our foster homes and those that offered to help us help these babies. Here are a few puppy pics to brighten your day.

UPDATE: It’s been a long night with these 9 cuties! The pups are doing well and getting used to their bottles. We will be going through the foster applications this morning and reaching out with updates today! Thank you all! ❤️

We have an immediate need for foster homes willing to bottle-feed puppies. The babies will need to be fed every few hrs around the clock until they are weaned in about 4-5 weeks. The pups will be split into smaller groups and require an approximately 8-week commitment.

With the dangerously low wind chills and cold temperatures of winter, please bring your pets inside. They give us their best for their short lives, so the least we can do is give them a warm safe place to sleep.

We often hear “they aren’t trained or housebroken” or “they are used to the cold” and it breaks our hearts every single time. No animal should be left outside to get frostbite or freeze to death because their owner didn’t train them. No pet is used to -30* without proper shelter and good consistent care. Sadly, we have seen how horrific the situation can get when a pet is left in extreme temperatures. 😓

We encourage everyone to at least bring them inside to your spare bedroom, a bathroom, or a crate.
Nobody’s house is too nice to bring an animal inside and save a life.

Treating pets like family makes your house a home. Better yet, snuggle up with them so you both stay warm this winter ❤️ It’s a Win - Win!
