I've helped rescue hundreds of dogs over the last 25 years.

But I've never had the opportunity to help thousands of dogs - until now.

I am participating in a nonviolent Open Rescue to help bring attention to the more than 2,200 beagles who are trapped in tiny cages with virtually no human contact and no access to the outdoors at Ridglan Farms outside of Mount Horeb, Wis.

The government has proof of ongoing animal abuse, neglect and improper housing at Ridglan, citing 311 violations last year. But nothing has been done to help the beagles there. They will be sold or killed before July 1 of this year.

We need people to email Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne at [email protected] and ask him to release the dogs. Rescues are ready to take them all in.

We also need people to stand in vigil holding flowers on the public road outside Ridglan in mid March.
