St. George Animal Shelter We are a city-owned and city-operated animal shelter in St. George, Utah, and we try to find good homes for the animals that are brought into the shelter.

This friendly male kitten was found at Tonaquint Park on 9/12 and is now at the shelter for safekeeping.

This female husky was found in the industrial park near Red Hills Parkway on 9/12 and has been wandering the area for a week. She is now at the shelter for safekeeping.

Our Story and Mission.

We are a city-owned and city-operated animal shelter in St. George, Utah. The mission of the St. George Animal Shelter is to provide a safe, clean environment to humanely oversee the care and custody of seized, stray, homeless, quarantined, abandoned or unwanted domestic animals. The Shelter belongs to all citizens, and as such we will strive always to encourage responsible pet ownership by spaying, neutering, vaccinating, licensing, and by providing education in appropriate care and environments for their pets.
