Exciting announcement- after 3 years away, I’ve decided to start grooming dogs again!

I still work full time at the school, but I realized how much I genuinely missed being around dogs and doing work I love that feels rewarding and creative.

Right now I’m taking appointments a couple days a month, but I may return more full time this summer.

I’m very excited for this new chapter and thankful for the support from everyone who’s encouraged me along the way. If you’re interested in getting your pup scheduled, call Pet Supplies Plus at 320-654-4820.

Hi, everyone, after 15 years of grooming (the last 7 being at Companions Animal Hospital), I have decided to follow a different path working with kids in special education. The opportunity came up and works well for my family right now. Grooming is still a possibility for the future. I will miss my amazing clients- both the people and pets. Don’t leave pets in the car on a warm day! Even if it’s only 70°F outside, the inside of that car will act like an oven and get up to 89°F after 10 minutes & 104°F after 30 minutes! A dog with a re**al temperature of 105.8°F can experience fatal multi-organ dysfunction and failure. Avoid this heat risk by following our alternative suggestions in the graphic!

PSA: Ticks, including deer ticks are out! Make sure your pets are on a flea and tick preventative- you can order through Companions Animal Hospital online. Also check them, your kids and yourselves thoroughly!

This guy👇🏼 has lots of folds for ticks to hide, but thankfully has extra protection from being on Nexgard. 💪🏼

****Attention: The Governor in Minnesota extended the stay-at-home order until May 4th. Grooming is not considered an essential business by them.****

In the meantime, keep your pets’ coats clear of mats and impacted coat by brushing and combing them regularly (twice a week to every day, depending on the coat.) Trim their nails if they need it (usually weekly to monthly.) Bathe them in pet-friendly shampoo.
