Position Title: Kennel Assistant
Availability: Full Time (30-40 hours per week) with rotating weekend and holiday schedules.

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our animal care team. This position is responsible for providing daily care to dogs and cats, including feeding, medicating, exercising, bathing, and monitoring their overall health and well-being. The Kennel Assistant will also assist veterinarians and technicians when needed and maintain clear communication with team members and clients to support smooth hospital operations.
Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive care to boarding and hospitalized animals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and cleanliness.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, exam rooms, floors, and other areas of the hospital.
• Perform general cleaning duties, including laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining organized workspaces.
• Restock and organize supplies and ensure proper storage in designated areas.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during treatments or procedures as needed.
• Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment at all times.
Requirements:
• Ability to lift and handle animals weighing 40+ pounds.
• Comfortable working with strong, energetic dogs and cats of all sizes.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Team-oriented attitude with a genuine passion for animal care.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work weekends and holiday hours.
