This is why we support the Dogs for Defense Dogs for Defense Foundation

Our Afghan, Gee is going to her forever home with SGT Ashley Adamsky of the MN Army National Guard. SGT Adamsky was working as a Medic in Kabul, Afghanistan during the final days of the Afghanistan withdrawal. It was at that time when Explosive detection dogs like K-9 Sheba (Gee’s Mom) were left behind. K-9 Sheba was rescued by and they are responsible for the hard work of getting Gee and her siblings to us. Gee is named in honor of US Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee that was killed in the line of duty during the Kabul evacuation.

Dan Hughes says the three dogs he’s now working with were named after U.S. Marines Nicole Gee and Hunter Lopez, and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Ryan Knauss, who were all killed in Afghanistan.
