I’m so happy I took so many pictures over the years. The 1st is when we first got here, the 2nd is after we leveled it, and now it has mats. It really made a huge difference with the dust and cleaning

🐴🌾 Salt Grass Stables has a couple of pasture spots open! Come ride all year round with us in our new expanded indoor arena! There have been many upgrades this year as well! A new secure tack room with much more room, we have added another shelter, we now have 3 hay feeders, we have a head and a heel box for roping, a new feed room, and boarder also get access to a live camera of the pasture!

Basic Pasture board includes blanketing, worming, a spot to park your trailer and feeding a dry grain in the PM, plus so much more. The pasture is 12 acres of grass and trees, 3 Macksteel Feeders, a Ritchie auto waterer, and a water trough. It is a mixed herd but with enough room to roam and graze, as well as multiple hay feeders, we haven’t had any issues.

The owners and barn manager live onsite and are extremely involved in the day to day here! Send us a message for more information or to set up a tour.

Meet the horses!

Hi, I’m Melanie, and KeKona (Kona) is my very first horse—a dream I’ve had since I was a teenager finally come true! When I started looking for a horse, I knew I wanted to rescue if I could. Kona’s journey is pretty special: he came through two different kill pens and didn’t even have a name when I found him. I chose “KeKona,” which means “A New Beginning” and “One that is Strong”—it fits him perfectly!

Kona may be an older gentleman, but don’t let that fool you—he’s a steady old ranch horse with plenty of s***k and just enough sass to keep me on my toes. We’re having so much fun uncovering all his “secret tricks” from his ranch days (I’m convinced he’s got a few up his sleeve). We’re so excited to be part of the Salt Grass family and so grateful for all the love and support we’ve found here.

Happy national farrier week!
