Buck has been waiting a long time, the longest of all our dogs… but don’t tell him that.

Because if you ask Buck, he’s not a sad shelter dog.

He’s the shelter boss. 😂

As a senior man, Buck knows exactly who he is. He knows where the treats are. He knows which staff members are wrapped around his paw. And he absolutely knows how cute he is.

Buck came to us after living a life that wasn’t always kind to him. But somehow, this goofy old man decided he wasn’t going to let that define him. Instead, he decided the shelter was his kingdom. We let him believe it. ❤️🏰

Buck is smart. Sometimes too smart. He has learned everyone’s routines, knows how to ask for what he wants, and isn’t afraid to show off his stubborn side.

We won’t pretend Buck is the easiest dog here.

He’s a big, strong senior boy with a big personality. Buck needs someone who understands dogs. Someone who can give him structure, boundaries, and love all at the same time.

Because underneath that stubborn old man attitude is a dog who just wants to be around people.

The people who know Buck know how special he is.

Buck has spent enough time being loved by shelter staff.

Now we want him to find someone he can boss around forever. ❤️

If you've been wanting to add a stubborn but lovable old man to your family, now is the time!

Hawk is struggling. 💔

Shelter life is not easy for every dog, and unfortunately Hawk is one of the dogs who is having an especially hard time.

Even with anxiety medication to help him cope, Hawk spends a lot of his days pacing and worrying. This environment is stressful for him, and we know Hawk is a good dog.

Hawk is incredibly smart, and honestly, we think that is part of why shelter life is so hard on him. He is always watching, always thinking, always trying to figure out what is expected of him.

He wants to make his people happy. He wants direction. He wants someone to tell him, “You’re doing a good job.”

Hawk loves going outside, going on walks, playing fetch, and chasing tennis balls. When he finally gets a chance to relax and just be a dog, you get to see the happy, goofy boy we all love. ❤️

He is house trained. He does well with cats. He does well with children. He is selective about his dog friends but has done well with the right matches.

We know Hawk is not perfect. He does struggle with separation anxiety, and we never want to hide that. He will need someone willing to help him adjust and understand that after spending so much time stressed, he may need patience.

He is crate trained, but like many anxious dogs, he will need a secure crate and a family committed to helping him feel safe when left alone.

But Hawk is worth it.

Some dogs come into the shelter and wait because they need someone to see past their struggles and recognize their potential.

Hawk has so much potential.

He just needs his person. 🤍

Jasmine doesn’t understand why she is still here. 💔

When Jasmine first came to the shelter, it was October 29th, 2022.

Since then, 1,320 days have passed.

That is over three years of watching families walk past her. Over three years of watching other dogs get the one thing she has been patiently waiting for…a family of her own.

Jasmine is deaf. And we think that may be one of the reasons she continues to be overlooked. But we wish people knew deaf does not mean difficult.

Owning a deaf dog simply means learning a different way to communicate. Deaf dogs rely on hand signals, facial expressions, routine, and trust. And Jasmine is already ahead of the game. ❤️

She already knows hand signals for sit, lay down, and paw. She is smart, eager to learn, and always watching her people for direction. 🫶

You can catch Jasmine spending her time tossing her toys around all by herself or curled up snoozing with her favorite one.
She would love nothing more than a yard to zoom around in, someone to throw her favorite ball, and a comfy bed where she can finally rest knowing she is home.

She is both house and crate trained! She is a strong girl, but she walks well on a leash and loves getting outside with her people.

The happy girl with the biggest smile.
The smart girl who learned a whole new way to communicate.
The girl who has spent far too many nights falling asleep in a shelter.

Please don’t let Jasmine keep waiting.

She has been waiting since 2022.

Help us finally find her person! ❤️🐾

UPDATE: RANGER HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!! WE WISH YOU ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD!!!!

Ranger heard that Alfie got a lot of attention after his Facebook post and he was so happy for him! ❤️

But he couldn’t help but wonder… “Will I have a turn?”

In all seriousness, Ranger has been waiting 775 days. And in all that time…

Not one application.
Not one phone call asking about him.
Not one person who walked through our doors and said, “I’m here for Ranger.”

We know this dog could make someone very happy. We know he has so much love to give. He is the dog who looks at you like you are his whole world. He loves rolling in the grass. He gives hugs and soaks up every bit of love someone offers him.

775 days is a long time to wait.

Please help us make sure Ranger doesn’t keep waiting. He is breaking our hearts.

Every share helps Ranger be seen. ❤️

Meet Tippy ❤️🐈‍⬛

Tippy is a 2 ½ year old girl with a very special way of moving through the world.

Tippy has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), often called “Wobbly Cat Syndrome.”

CH is a neurological condition that affects the part of the brain responsible for balance, coordination, and movement. Because of this, Tippy will wobble, sway, or have some uncoordinated movements when she walks.

But here is what we really want people to know about CH cats:
-Tippy is not in pain.
-Her condition will not get worse over time.
-She does not know she is any different.

CH cats are incredibly resilient and learn how to navigate the world in their own way. With a few small adjustments, many live full, happy, and wonderful lives.😺

Tippy came to us from an outdoor colony, and as you can imagine, the outdoors was not a safe place for a girl who has a little trouble with balance.

Her perfect family will be willing to make a few simple changes to help her succeed:
-keeping her indoors🏠
-avoiding access to stairs or high places where she could fall
-providing rugs or non-slip surfaces to help her move around confidently

She has spent her life adapting to the world around her. Now she deserves a world that adapts a little for her.🌍🏠

If interested in Tippy, the application for adoption can be found using the link below.
