I close at noon on Wednesday to be able to get caught up so I only have to work a few hours Thanksgiving day.

Closed from Thanksgiving until following Monday.

We are doing the cwd sampling again this year but remember you have to take it to a mandatory check station for opening weekend in counties that require it.

Shoulder mounts are $650 euros are the same as they have always been $100.

As of now 2nd Weekend Sunday I will be closed. My help needs a day off, and my son has an opportunity to hunt a pretty special farm and im taking the day to spend with him.

We are doing the cwd sampling again this year but remember you have to take it to a mandatory check station for opening weekend. We are not a check station location.

I will keep the shop phone updated if for some reason we change hours.

There are many circumstances that have made this season so far one of the busiest I have ever encountered, and there has been some giants hitting the ground!

I kept my prices the same for deer this year. $600 on shoulder mount and $100 on euro with 1/2 required for deposit. My concentration has always been deer and will continue to be. While we will still do many other things there are certain projects we won't be able to do anymore with work load and me wanting more free time.

I moved to St. Clair in 2008 and never dreamed we would grow to what we have. I thank all my customers for the continued support!

I've always been open every day of rifle, but with mdc's new extended season I just can't be open the whole time so I'm keeping my days like every rifle season prior.

While on vacation last week our phone and internet went down Wednesday at some point. At&t has informed me they can't have any tech come until Aug 31. Pretty ridiculous a business will be out of a phone and internet for 16 days.

My cell only runs off of wifi at shop with metal building I have zero service so I will also be without my cell phone. Text me if you need to coordinate a pick up unless it is M-F 8-4 then someone will be there all other questions please wait until i get my phones back for my sanity. Since I won't get the text until I leave for the day try and coordinate day before.

This is a huge pain I know, but it is what it is.

Also deer status updates. If you look at paperwork you will see group #. We are currently mounting group 7 and any before that are either done or will be shortly.

Reminder if you kill a deer opening weekend in a cwd zone you still have to go to check station and then we will have to test it once you bring it in.

Good luck youth hunter's this weekend.

We are taking all deer shoulder mounts and euros.

I will not be in the shop this weekend as I will be hunting with my kids.

THOSE 3 DAYS AND ONLY THOSE 3 DAYS ALL YOUTH DEER BROUGHT IN I WILL BE MOUNTING WITH A $50 DISCOUNT WITH PROOF OF A NOTCHED YOUTH TAG/APP (euros normal price)

The one thing we won't be taking on during rifle season is small mammals. We are a little behind on them because it is still tough getting the supplies I need to finish them. I should be caught up on all of them by the end of December. So if you are wanting me to mount one for you simply freeze whole and contact us in January. That way I'm caught up and can start a new year fresh with hopefully a smoother 2023.

Also the shop will be open everyday of rifle season like normal and will post the hours for the season soon. Between now and then check the shop machine for hours as I will be taking off several days to bow hunt. Simply freeze your deer is best option and contact me or come by during said hours

We are doing cwd testing again this year if anyone wants to have a deer tested. Can do it in parking lot or bring in neck and head.

These last 2 years have been a struggle. This year has been by far the hardest to get supplies to keep up with the amount of work I do. Pretty much have had to adapt the way I run my business on the fly and often ive come up short. I have to get back to being caught up for my sanity. When you can't get supplies you need, while still working 6-7 days a week and who knows how many hours, and add the 50+ messages a week of "is my mount ready" it gets a little stressful. For that reason this year I am going to have to greatly reduce some things I take in. By doing that I should be able to still take on that big pile of deer antlers everyone sees during rifle season. With having 3 kids 9,6, and 3 they are getting into so many activities and into hunting I have to be able to get away from the shop from time time. Even if I get full I will always make room for all my OG customer's deer. You don't have to worry about that.

Good luck this year and thanks for all the support these years. I never thought 10 of the biggest chest freezers you can get 2 upright freezers, and a 8x8 walkin freezer wouldn't be enough to hold the work load.

We are now doing cwd testing. However opening weekend you still have to go to check station. Even if mounting it. It's required by law.

Things I need
-Your telecheck ID # of tag used
- date and county
-If you are in cwd zone you have to show me on map where deer was killed.
-if it's after the mandatory check opening weekend bring head and 6 inches of neck not the whole deer.

When searching for your results you can search by telecheck id or the bar code for sample after I take it. I won't be able to provide barcodes on the spot but can provide after unless we are caught up.

This is new to me so have to work out the system and find an efficient way.

Please be aware of time frame quoted during drop offs for Shoulder mount we usually stay in them for deer as they are priority. This will help with not getting as many calls about "is my deer done."

We are take cash check or venmo as well as card. I will be waiving the 3% charge on credit cards for anything during rifle season. After that there will be a 3% charge on any card use. I am trying to keep my prices as low as possible with the ever increasing cost of material. One way to do that is not having to lose money on credit card fees.

So things are going to be a little different with covid this year in shop. Try to get people in and out and keeping parts of shop free from traffic. Im asking people to wear a mask when entering just during rifle season. I know they suck and I hate them too, but after losing someone to covid I don't want to go thru it again. I'm trusting everyone will stay out if feeling symptoms. If you feel anxious about coming in or at high risk I can meet you outside to do paperwork or we can do it over phone and you just drop it outside however and whenever. I get my work for the year between now and Thanksgiving so I'm trying to stay out of quarantine. Thanks everyone and good luck.
