Over Memorial Day weekend, my husband and I were on the way to the St. Charles Art Festival. As I was driving along, another driver decided to cross 4 lanes of traffic directly in front of me, giving me only a second or 2 to try and slam on the brakes and avoid the collision, which I couldn't. The airbags deployed and both cars (including another Hyundai) were ultimately totalled. Luckily everyone walked away from the accident seemingly in one piece.

Since then, I feel like I've been a walking advertisement for Hyundai, as the logo on the steering wheel caused this wound on my forearm when the airbag deployed. I loved my gorgeous 2016 Carribean Blue Tucson- I bought it fresh off the truck when they were first released over 10 years ago (after I turned in my 2005 Tucson- this was my first, and only, new car purchase), and obviously the safety features worked, so I would love to get another some day when I can afford it 😅 The wound has healed some, but the impression still remains. So Hyundai Motor America ... any chance you can help out your walking billboard girl out with a deal on a Tucson, since I've only driven them for the last 20 years? 😘

I recently had the chance to engrave this gorgeous girly and her beautiful name with an original scroll design onto this acacia cutting board. 🌙🌺

I'm always a little nervous engraving these boards because I only have one shot to get the settings right, or the whole board is ruined. Luckily this one came out better than I could have hoped, and it is on its way to being used and loved by a fabulous hostess and dog mom. 🐾

Now I know I'm a fan of a pop of color, but seeing the sky like this outside my home after all the bad storms that have blown through the last couple of of days can leave one feeling a bit... uneasy 😳

I loved that I was asked to use color to really bring life into this piece and celebrate the personality of a very special dog.

Creating memorial portraits like this is always an honor. ❤️

I recently had the honor of designing and creating a custom welcome sign for my friend and mentor, Laura, as a thank you gift for speaking at the fantastic Cooperative Care seminar hosted by the Positive Solutions for A Sound Beginning team. 💙

The sign features silhouettes of her three adorable furry family members along with a handmade bow. The bow can easily be removed for a simpler everyday look or swapped out seasonally for a fresh new style.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is creating custom pieces that are uniquely meaningful and personal to the people receiving them. Getting to bring special ideas like this to life is always such an honor. ✨

This colorful “All Are Welcome” sign was recently donated to help support a fundraising event for Dupage County Animal Services, and it is truly one of my favorite signs. For this piece, I challenged myself to create the rainbow gradient entirely with spray paint — layering and blending the colors to create that bright, happy, seamless fade 🌈

I love creating pieces that help make a home feel warm, welcoming, and safe for everyone who walks through the door 💛
