Today, I’m spending time remembering the people who were so special to me and who crossed over far too soon this year.
In honor of my uncle, I printed my favorite photo of him in his Cubbie best on a piece of slate using my new printer. For my beautiful and kind cousin, who always treated me like a little sister whenever we went to visit family, I sublimated a watercolor portrait onto glass and built a custom LED box around it so that it glows just like she did, and gifted it to my aunt. ✨
Both of them left us suddenly and much too soon this year, and today feels especially heavy. But creating these memorial pieces gave me a way to reflect on who they were, what they meant to me, and how deeply they are missed, today and always. 🤍
