Dr. Krista Davis graduated from Glasgow College of Veterinary Medicine in Scotland in 1995. Her undergraduate course work was completed at the University of Miami in south Florida. After graduation, she worked for 2 years in the south of Portugal while completeing her exams to qualify in the U.S. Upon passing the exams, she worked for seven years at Black Creek Veterinary Hospital in Middleburg, Florida. Her goal had always been to open a practice of her own, and in December of 2006, Bartram Trail Veterinary Hospital opened its doors. When Dr. Davis is not being a doctor, she spends time with her husband Antonio, and daughter Anna. She enjoys reading and working in the garden. Dr. Davis has 1 dog, "Skinechiwah" and 2 cats, "Mango" and "Amy".

Miss Ella came to visit us recently because she wasn't acting like herself 💛. We’re thrilled to say she’s 👍🏻 ok and back to smiling like the happy pup we know and love! 🐾

She’s been charming our whole team (we're officially obsessed 💕), and we just had to share her sunshine with you all.

Happy Guinea Pig Appreciation Day! ❤️

Today, we celebrate our cuddly companions, the guinea pigs! These little furballs bring so much joy with their sweet wheeks, popcorn zoomies, and endless love for veggies.

➡️ Guinea pigs are social creatures who thrive in pairs or groups.
➡️ They have complex vocalizations to express themselves!
➡️ Their teeth grow continuously, so they need hay to keep them worn down.

Woof! Hold the Chocolate for World Chocolate Day! 🍫

While we celebrate the deliciousness of chocolate today, it's important to remember it can be a toxic treat for our canine companions!

Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to dogs. The darker the chocolate the more dangerous and even small amounts can cause serious illness.

Here's how to keep your pup safe:

Keep chocolate out of reach & store it securely.

Educate family & friends about the dangers.

If you suspect your dog ate chocolate, call your vet immediately! ☎️

Let's celebrate World Chocolate Day responsibly!

P.S. Looking for a sweet treat for your pup? Whip up some Easy Doggy Ice Cream!

Blend 1 ripe banana (frozen for extra creaminess!) with ½ cup plain yogurt (unsweetened).

For a fun twist, add a spoonful of peanut butter (xylitol-aka birch sugar free!) or some mashed pumpkin.

Freeze for a few hours and enjoy!

Remember: Small portions are key!

We bought a cat treadmill. We waited. We tempted. We sprinkled catnip, added treats, dangled toys, begged politely…
💤 Nothing. 👀 Suspicion.🧍‍♀️ Judgmental stares.

Then one night — at 2AM — she emerged. Coffee. Living up to her name. ☕️ Running like she’s training for the Feline Olympics. Zero chill. Full throttle. And no regard for human sleep schedules. 🫠

🎉 It’s safe to say she’s found her calling. Now if we could just get her chonkier sibling to give it a go instead of using it as a lounging platform… 😅

💡 Pro tip: Feline enrichment isn’t one-size-fits-all, but it is worth the effort. Movement = mood boost, mental health, and yes — weight management, too.
