Dr. Krista Davis graduated from Glasgow College of Veterinary Medicine in Scotland in 1995. Her undergraduate course work was completed at the University of Miami in south Florida. After graduation, she worked for 2 years in the south of Portugal while completeing her exams to qualify in the U.S. Upon passing the exams, she worked for seven years at Black Creek Veterinary Hospital in Middleburg, Florida. Her goal had always been to open a practice of her own, and in December of 2006, Bartram Trail Veterinary Hospital opened its doors. When Dr. Davis is not being a doctor, she spends time with her husband Antonio, and daughter Anna. She enjoys reading and working in the garden. Dr. Davis has 1 dog, "Skinechiwah" and 2 cats, "Mango" and "Amy".

Lynne shared this adorable snapshot of Mia snuggled up with Dr. Toffy Blaber during her recent annual exam, and honestly, our hearts can’t handle the cuteness.

She also sent us the sweetest message:
“Thank you for being the best veterinarian office ever ♥️🐾”

And of course, our vet tech Alexis had to reply with all the love right back:
“No, you’re the best client ever, and Mia is the best patient! You guys are the reason why we love what we do because of amazing and compassionate people like you and your very sweet and loving pets who let us overload them with hugs and kisses 😘 — Alexis”

Several of our pawsome team members, Dr. Krista Davis, Whitney, Emma, and Samantha, along with some of their wonderful families, rolled up their sleeves and got to work helping keep the Matanzas River clean and thriving. 💙🐾🌊

Not only did they collect debris along the shoreline, but they also helped support the efforts of the Litter Gitter boat a local resource dedicated to removing trash before it impacts wildlife and water quality. 🚤♻️

We’re incredibly proud of our team for giving back beyond the hospital walls and helping protect the waterways that so many animals call home. 🐬🐢🌱

Everyone, meet this handsome mystery gentleman! This male, intact pup was found wandering in the Palencia area with no microchip, but don’t worry, he’s safe and being lovingly cared for by one of our amazing clients while we all try to reunite him with his family. 🏡✨

He’s sweet, friendly, and clearly someone’s beloved companion. ❤️🐶

While our hospital is closed today, our hearts are full as we celebrate the holiday and care for all the fur babies boarding with us. We’ll reopen with normal hours tomorrow, Friday, November 29th.

Our amazing receptionist Bethany is officially on maternity leave, and we’re thrilled to congratulate her on welcoming her new hooman bundle of joy, Matty, into the world! 🎉✨

From the sweet photos she’s shared, it already it already looks like Malachi, the family pup, has found his brand-new BFF. 💞

As we prepare to celebrate the season of gratitude, please note that our hospital will be CLOSED this Thursday, November 27th, for Thanksgiving Day.

📅 Today is Tuesday, and the holiday is just 2 days away, so if your pet needs food refills, medications, or last-minute care, please contact us as soon as possible.

Our team will be spending the day with loved ones (both two and four legged 🧡), and we’ll be back to caring for your pets during normal business hours on Friday, November 28th.

Emergency Reminder:
If your pet experiences an emergency while we are closed, please visit your nearest 24/7 emergency veterinary center listed on our website.
