On The Nose Dog Training will be closing our warehouse location at 1711 Dobbs Rd. Our final day is next Friday, December 22nd.

I’ve had the privilege to work with so many amazing people and dogs - something I will be eternally grateful for. Thank you all for being a part of On The Nose Dog Training.

This does not mean that On The Nose is closing entirely! If you have any unscheduled credits or if you are an existing client looking to continue training, please reach out to me to discuss options moving forward.

Beginning in the new year, we will be launching an online platform with courses covering a variety of training topics for pet parents and aspiring trainers!

You all know our Chief Dog Officer, Ranger, but allow me to introduce you to Maisy!
Maisy joined us in October for our obedience course and then signed up for school for some continuing education! Ranger and Maisy look so much alike and I would even mix them up during playgroups. Maisy is currently 8 months old and Ranger is 16 months old and their behavior is very similar.
This caused me to dive a little deeper and after looking into their pedigrees I found out that Maisy and Ranger are cousins!
Ranger is from Florida while Maisy is from Minnesota but they come from the same line of Golden Retrievers originated in Europe!

It was a stunning night downtown with the final class of our adventure course! Of course, I forgot to take a group picture because time flies when you’re having fun, but all four of the dogs and their parents excelled this month! They are all ready to conquer the world!

This weekend we took Ranger, his sister Batsy (a boxer/border collie mix,) to try out dock diving! Thank you to our Instructor, Greg, for helping us out and to Head Start Canine for letting us use your beautiful pool!

Ranger might not be the next dock diving champion, but we sure had a blast!

It’s SpOoKy season and all of our students have been celebrating with Halloween photos! Not only are they cute, but taking photos with backdrops and props are a great way to expose the pups to new things!

Halloween is full of scary things that can effect your dog - remember to keep your pup safe and be aware of the things in their environment that might be super scary!

Next on our line up of our spotlight students: Nellie & Gino!!

Miss Nellie came to On The Nose Dog Training in November of last year and I instantly fell in love with her. Nellie is English Yellow Lab with huge personality! She LOVES new friends - a little too much. We've spent an ample amount of time teaching Nellie how to say "Hi" calmly so it is much more enjoyable for everybody. Of course we don't choose favorites - but Nellie certainly has a special place in my heart and anytime I get to see her I am a very happy trainer.

Nellie loved school SO MUCH that in January she was joined by her brother, Gino!

Gino is a sensitive snuggler. He loves getting calm scratches and roping people into playing fetch. If you throw a ball for him you better plan to be there for a while! Gino had some insecurities at the start, especially towards dogs. We worked very hard over time to give him positive experiences around and interacting with dogs. It is a work in progress but he has grown SO MUCH since he started.

Thanks Nellie and Gino for being a staple pair at school! You have not only both learned so much, but you have played a huge role in teaching our apprentice and assistant trainers as they grow their experience and education. WE LOVE YOU BOTH

Today marks the 1 year of opening our doors and welcoming in our very first clients at On The Nose Dog Training! We are so thankful for all of the clients and dogs that have supported us in the last year. This week we will spotlight some of the dogs and people who have helped us grow just as much as we've helped them grow.

We're kicking off with none other than our very own Chief Dog Officer, Ranger - or as we say "Ranger Danger: Breaking Laws and Throwing Paws." If you are a client of ours you most definitely have heard Ranger's name in conversation and it's very likely you've been blessed with his excited wiggles.

Ranger started coming to On The Nose with me, Miss Corina, at 8 weeks old - only 3 weeks after construction started at the warehouse in August of last year. It has been so much fun to watch him and the business grow together. On The Nose's timeline in my mind is based on how big he was at the time.

Ranger wears many hats - He is a teacher, an actor, a service dog in training, and most importantly, he is my very best friend. It is rare occurrence to ever see me without my little sidekick...some might even argue that I am the sidekick and he's the true star of the show.

Ranger - you are confident, caring, patient, happy, handsome, and smart. You are also chaotic, stubborn, cocky, & dramatic. All things I would never want to change because they are what make you Ranger.

Thanks, bud. For everything.
