Land of Misfits Dog Rescue, (501)c3, is pleased to say that Lucy has been adopted to Ed! Lucy is sweet and deserves Ed because he has a very big heart he wears on his sleeve. Ed is what we call a "double dipper" or more commonly known as a repeat customer. Ed adopted Buddy from us late last year. Ed fell in love with him. Buddy was an older pup and did pass away recently. Ed was crushed and lonely. So what did he do? Ed called Land of Misfits Dog Rescue and adopted Lucy! He wanted a friend to talk to, walk with and just share his day. Notice Lucy's blanket already on the couch. He will be sharing that with Lucy too! lol Lucy has a friend. Ed has a friend. What better ending could you ask for?!

Land of Misfits Dog Rescue has some good news! Pippi, yes after Pippi Longstocking, has been adopted! YIPPI for PIPPI! Ready to load up in the truck and head home with Tim. Land of Misfits Dog Rescue, a (501)c3 is looking for a good home for our gal Sandy. Sandy is a Malinois/German Shepherd mix. She came to us from an over crowded out of state shelter with only days left in her future. Sandy is about two years old. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Sandy has been shuffled around and needs a stable home preferably with older kids, (15 and up) and no cats. Sandy is house trained, good in a car, learning leash manners. She knows sit, come, stay/wait, and kennel. She does not jump or dig. Sandy is smart, healthy and wants to have a purpose and a good friend who will continue to train her, love her and make a life long friendship. She has met other dogs but a meet and greet is always required. She will need a fenced yard.

A little more about Fergus with Land of Misfits Dog Rescue. Fergus is a two-year old Idaho S**g. He is neutered and vaccinated and ready for life. He came to us from another shelter who said he was a stray and is now sad and shutting down in his kennel. They asked if we could help. We took Fergus and gave him a yard and friends to run and socialize with. He has blossomed. He loves to play with the other dogs, though he has an initial assertive style of meet and greet. He likes to go for walks, so we are also working on leash manners. Fergus is good in the car, knows sit, come, stay, wait and has good eye contact. He is people social and good with respectful kids. I would not recommend him with cats - sorry!

Bonded buddies, you could say that, or wonderful individual pups. I could count the days, but that would take too long. These two silly knuckleheads have been with Land of Misfits Dog Rescue for three years! Why? I do not know. They are both healthy, happy, vaccinated, neutered, social, good with respectful kids and house trained! Maybe not so good with cats. They would be great with a family who wants to play in the backyard or go hiking and camping. Rowdy, the white Shephard mix is about six years old and Bacon, (Yeah, I know. Who doesn't like BACON!? lol) is around eight. Both like to play, but Bacon may be ok with an extra nap or two. There is not a person, in this picture, without a smile on their face and do you want to know why? Because they adopted silly Pepper from Land of Misfits Dog Rescue in St. Anthony, ID. Land of Misfits Dog Rescue (501)c3 has wonderful new friends at Culvers, Idaho, Falls. Craig, his staff and us along with our volunteers raised over $400.00. All of it, by the way, will go to the care of the dogs! We just want to say, Thanks to Culvers, our hard working volunteers and, of course, all of the patrons who came to Culvers on March 25, to support our rescue cause. It was a big success! It is very heart warming knowing that our community wants and does help out when and where they can to improve animal care. THANK YOU ALL!
