For the Love of Bettas

For the Love of Bettas FTLOB is a betta fish rescue that takes in any unwanted or mistreated bettas, nurses them back to health, and then adopts them out to loving homes.

All too often bettas are mistreated due to the lack of proper education from pet stores and online resources. They are thought of and marketed as "cheap" and good "first time pets" for children or inexperienced people. Because of this, bettas are often the victims of abuse and inadequate care. FTLOB will take in any unwanted or mistreated bettas, as well as sick or dying bettas from pet stores tha

t are willing to give them up (for free). Once they are here, they will be nursed back to health and then placed into loving homes. This page will be used for promotion of betta fish awareness, pictures of my residents and rescues, blogging about my bettas, adoption information, and more! While FLTOB is always willing to discuss and take in non-betta rescues, keep in mind that I may not always have the proper tools, tanks, or space for certain species of fish. If you have a fish that is in need of help or you no longer want, please contact me and we can discuss it further. FTLOB is owned and operated by me, Kelsey Kronmiller, a recent college graduate looking to make a career out of web design and graphic design, in which I received my bachelors degree in. Bettas have always been a love of mine, along with all animals for that fact. With my skills in web design and my passion to save such a misunderstood species, I wanted to make a difference, even if I only saved one fish.

The plans below have been developed with extensive conversations and contributions from stakeholders, including families, students, teachers, administrators, and community members. While no one plan can possibly perfectly match the desires of all of the parties, we have worked to incorporate all that we could from all of the many ideas, questions and concerns that were shared. We recognize that these plans were necessarily prepared in the theoretical and may need to be amended or adjusted as we put them into action. Changing circumstances may require a pivot at any point.
